Ok, EVERY wood cutting board is glued. My husband makes them. Strips of wood are glued together under pressure with wood specific glue. This keeps them from warping. When you see different colors of wood,that's different types of wood glued together. Bamboo is way too small to make a board in a single piece. Cutting boards are glued, it's not a big deal, just the way it's done.

Q: Where is this manufactured?

People are so touchy about this right now over the political upheaval toward bringing manufacturing back into the US but no matter what we do business with China and they do business with the US so get used to it for Deity’s sake. I honestly don’t know if this is made in the heart of China or Taiwan, but don’t care either as long as it’s well made and serves the purpose I intend it for, making sushi. We’ve read a lot into this question without actually knowing the nature or purpose of it because Amazon has shut down responding by the person asking and now we see the resulting confusing this can cause thanks to those who used this area of the site as their personal Twitter ground of political correctness or rude remarks. Thanks to them we’ll never know why the OP want to know where the board is manufactured so stop reading more into it and take this at face value. That said, I’m inclined to believe it’s made in ROC which is the Republic of China and it very well could be Taiwan which as stated is a part of that country, albeit an independent one. I wish them all the best and there is no reason not to support them since they are trying to make an honest living like us. Peas Out. (Drops the mic)

This Cutting board is 3/4" thick. Thick enough to use it even as chopping Board.

Q: Where was this made? Taiwan or China?

I received mine on 5/7/21 and the packaging specifically says “Made in China”.
