This kit is great for the price. It ships very well packaged and all parts fit into the vehicle nicely. It took me 90 mins to install in an '03 S10 ZR2, but I was taking my time. There were two difficult steps. The first was drilling the lower hole in the radiator mount (Tip: Mark the hole by making an indentation with an awl & hammer. Then remove the kit's heat shield. I was able (barely...it's tight) to drill the hole with a standard cordless drill). The second hard step is installing the grommet for the temp control sensor and subsequently installing the temp control sensor in the grommet. (Tip: Use some oil to help slip the grommet in place. Then use some oil and pliers to carefully slip the plastic sensor in. Use your free hand to prevent the grommet from slipping out, which it easily does). The instructions are good for the most part. They are slightly vague in some steps, but if you play with the unit in the vehicle, it should be apparent what you need to do. As a final tip, have some metric sockets on hand.Once on the vehicle, there is no noticeable sound change at idle, but you can certainly hear it when you're moving and above 2,000 RPMs. There is a noticeable difference in power at all speeds. However, I'm not too sure about the claims of saving gas since the new sound and power makes you drive a bit more lead-footed :)

Overall good product. Everything was easy to install.except the air temp sensor that go’s in the rubber grommet.I would install that right after you install the plastic hat.don’t push hard on plastic you might separate it from aluminum base. spray WD40 or something to help push sensor thru.filter is nice an pre-oiled.as far as power gains ? But it feels better on bottom/middle range rpms.I say this intake is worth the money.

Read through the instructions a few times before attempting to install, seemed like I had it down pretty good, removed the old intake system easily and started the install. The first snag was the heat shield install, after attaching the top screw and the rubber silencer, the bottom portion of the panel was a good 3 inches from the radiator support. I had to force the shield against the support and place a C-clamp to hold it while I marked the hole to make sure it was in the right place. I also wasn't sure if the rubber silencer went on top of the shield or the shield on top, directions not really clear. Went on to installing the plenum portion and that went pretty well. Installing the grommet and sensor took a bit, but I finally found a way to get it in, I took a deep well 10mm socket and lubed it up and slid it into the grommet from inside the tube so it was poking out, then I put the sensor so the tip of it went into the socket and eased it into the grommet as I pulled the socket out, worked like a charm. Got it finished up and it works pretty well I think. Only had it on a few days so will update once I have some road time on it.

I could even get the heat shield on not only did it not fit but I didn’t feel like drilling new holes to do it either and the spacers they provided did not fit had to go buy different ones but it’s on now have to see how it runs

This cold air intake was super easy to install. It sounds super good and looks good. Not a super noticeable increase in performance tho tbh.

needed an extra throttle body bolt, the extensions didn't cover the stud bolt, how ever the fit is so snug on the throttle body it doesn't need the 3rd bolt. My rpm gauge revs to max when it only went to 5. sounds great with my straight pipe vortex cherry bomb exaust. no need for the filter guard. I had to spin a knife in the gasket where the sensor goes through the plastic part it was way too tight I trimmed it back by 1mm. but I also had fun. no issues what so ever no engine codes from it either.

Fits well into my 96 2 door blazer LS. Installation was quick and easy if you know what you are doing! The price is unbeatable, Autozone wanted over $150 for the same exact thing. There is a noticeable difference in the engine sound and performance from what I can tell, it's not much, but hopefully the mpg is a little better! Overall great air intake kit as a good price.

Filter split almos completely around the mount area with less the 3000 km on it the, original K&N one lasted 10 plus years.And the link for support doesn't exist...
