I love this journal. I have purchased about 10 of them in various colors after I received my first one. I really like this journal.I've seen some negative reviews about using fountain pens with these journals. I write only with fountain pens and have had no problem writing on front and back of each page. Of course, with fountain pens it depends on the pen and flow. Some write wetter than others.In my experience though, I have not had any problems with fountain pens. The paper is thick enough for no bleed through. I mainly use Kaweco Sportline fountain pens and Pilot Prera and Metropolitan fountain pens. On occasion I use Lamy Safari and AL-star pens as well. Usually a fine nib. Again no problems.I use it for my daily journal. Just your basic writing, nothing fancy. This is the ONLY journal I have found on Amazon so far that is ACTUALLY college ruled. The other brands claim college ruled and are lined widely. The Jumping Fox journal is actually college ruled which adds many more lines to the page and I get more writing per page which increases my page count at the end. It also has plenty of TOC pages in the front.It seems to be holding up just find to my daily use. I'm not very rough with the journal, but I do keep pictures in the back pocket which causes the pages to bend while storing or writing. The journal is still holding up just fine.Summary is this: Out of all the journals I have bought on Amazon (and I have bought ALOT of different brands) this is the best I've found to date. The price is right and the quality is right. It comes packaged in a protective fitted box that slides out of another box. So it is always protected until you receive the journal. Hope this helps.

I really like this journal. I got the forest green cover, and it's a great looking color, and the texture of the linen is very nice. The foiled edges of the paper are a subtle, classy detail, and none of my pages were stuck together due to the foiling (which I was a little worried about). After doing a trial run of writing in it, I don't personally have any issues with the quality of the paper used. I write with a Lamy Safari fountain pen with a fine nib (for anyone who is curious) and use Lamy ink. Doing that, I haven't noticed any issues with bleed through; certainly, not any more or less than any other journal like this I've used in the past. I suppose you might see a light shadow of what's on the other side of a page, but if you write with a fountain pen, you'd better be writing on something like cardstock if you don't expect that to happen; they simply put down more ink than other pens. I'm used to it and it's not at all bothersome, nor does it interfere with my ability to read what I've written on either side of the page. Additionally, and MUCH MORE important to me, is that the paper seems to take the ink very well. The ink seems to dry quickly on this paper, without pooling. I don't think I'll have too many issues with smears, which can be a problem on some papers depending on how absorbent they are. When I run in to that, I sort of just grin and bear it, but it's nice that the paper used in this journal doesn't seem to have that issue. I feel like I can finish writing something, and then close the journal without having to give it a few seconds for the ink to dry, which is fantastic. Also, the ivory color is a lot easier on the eyes than bright white. What really makes this journal a keeper for me is that it lays flat (hooray!), has a great cover, seems to be well constructed, and the paper is relatively smear-resistant for people like me who use fountain pens but aren't particularly careful with them. Additionally, the price is very fair for a good-quality journal. I will definitely buy more of these as I need them!

I love the size and deep rich evergreen color. It looks and feels much more expensive than the purchase price. I will purchase again in the future.

After the whole coronavirus ordeal pushing everything online (shopping, school, work, friendships, etc.) I got pretty sick and tired of looking at screens and doing everything digitally. So I decided to buy a physical notebook for whenever I wanted to jot something down, instead of always using the Notes app on my phone (which I still use, but more for quick stuff when I don’t have a pen handy). Since having this notebook, I’ve been doing quite a bit of writing.I use this book every Sunday to take sermon notes, as well as journaling and taking notes on books I’ve read. And it’s held up pretty well.Size and durability on this are perfect. It’s big enough that I can fit a reasonable amount on a page, but small enough to slip into a small bag inconspicuously.Only complaint would be the outward design. It just feels like it’s missing something, with the fox logo on the front bottom and nothing in the middle of the cover. But, that’s an issue of personal preference. If the design in the picture looks good to you, I can’t see any other reason not to recommend this.

Beautiful notebook. I love the quality and that the pages are numbered. Arrived really quickly.
