I looked for a long time as I needed a cushion for my desk chair that would raise me up. I wasn't concerned about back pain or even sitting for long periods. The chair is just not quite high enough for my desk and working on the computer. This cushion answered my quest. It's about 3" high - a little less when you sit on it. It's soft to sit on, but still adds the height I need. Comfortable and a decent price. My answer!

I have spinal problems and a damaged sciatic nerve which cause me to have pain throughout the buttocks, hips and upper legs when sitting. I have another seat cushion I've been using that helps, I started looking for a second one only to discover that the company had changed the design and so the new ones won't work for me. Back to the drawing board trying to find a different seat cushion.Yay! I really like this cushion and have been using it at my art desk, I also carry it along to use at church. I actually get more help from this one than my other so I am now ordering a second pillow for the office chair.When I received the pillow the directions stated to wait 48 hours to fully decompress. It did have an odor so I placed it outside for several hours at first until it was getting dark. When I brought it inside the odor was gone and I haven't noticed any odor at all since then. After 24 hours I did a little test sit on it for a couple of minutes and wasn't sure it was going to work, it seemed stiff. I decided I needed to wait that full 48 hours. It actually made a big difference! So do wait!The cushion is soft yet supportive, and thick. I like that it has a carry loop on one side since I do use that feature. One thing I love about this cushion is that there are no weird seams on the cover, no weird carveouts or waves in the cushion. It's just straightforward, flat and thick. The cushion is large! It's wider and longer than any others I've tried and it makes a big difference even though I'm a 140 lb. woman.This cushion works well for me!

I was looking for a new cushion for my task chair, and I need a larger size.This is an XL cushion, and fits the chair well, but even after the 48 hour wait for it to fully expand, it is still less than fully supportive for my weight (260lbs) after several hours, even with hourly breaks.The memory foam does return to the original thickness; it is just not as good as a prior purchase of a similar one I bought a few years back but couldn't find again.

Highly, highly recommend this cushion! I've tried a variety of cushions for tailbone pain and this is the first one I purchased that actually works in my recliner. I'm buying another one.

Not firm enough

I loved this product so much I ordered another 1 after first ordering 2. I place it on my computer chair and on a leather love seat that has a seat cushion that is too soft. I have sciatica and nerve issues and this seat cushion is the only one I have had to send back to Amazon. It works. On the leather love seat, the cushion maintains its solid integrity, so the cushion does not bend. I am 5'11.5" inches tall and weigh 210 pounds, yet this cushion can hold my weight without bending like a taco. Paradoxically, the cushion itself is still soft enough to give great relief to my buttocks. I find I can sit longer when sitting. To relieve my sciatica and nerve issues, I also bought on Amazon the VariDesk Pro Plus 36 Standing Desk Converter, the VariDesk Standing Desk Floor Mat, and use gel-filled shoes. I find alternating between sitting and standing while reading and writing, and watching television, is the best solution for my nerve conditions. But definitely I am extremely happy with this seat cushion, so much so, I've now purchased 3 of them. I highly recommend this product to you. You will love it. Do allow the cushion to inflate to it's normal position by not using it for 48 hours. What's great is that it does not squish up like other seat cushions. It really retains its solidity. The bottom of the cushion has a non-slide protection, so you can only use one side of it to sit on. This is not a problem since you can simply turn it around so the side with the handle on it can face forwards and sometimes backwards. But again, this cushion maintains its solidity while being very comfortable. A solid 5 out of 5! OUTSTANDING!
