It's a Tamiya, enough said. Received package fairly fast, considering ships from Japan. Would order again, package was protected pretty good.

It shouldn't surprise anyone, this kit is just great. One of the best ones by Tamiya. From the instructions, to the precise pieces, their fit, and detail, this is a must! Get it, you won't regret it.

Way over engineered and unnecessarily complex. Outer wing panels do not fit well at the fold line. First time ever totally disappointed in a Tamiya model kit.

I have been modelling cars, aircraft and motorcycles off and on for 60 years. When I was 11 I built the iconic Airfix Spitfire kit (half a crown in early 6os supplied in a small plastic bag with a tiny folded card with instructions and an illustration). This model is as far removed from that as iPhone 13 is from Bell's original telephone. Everything goes together with the exactitude you expect from Tamiya, the transfers and painting diagrams are very high quality, and the finished model is stunning (albeit I am still working on the final paint finish which has some challenging elements). The only aspect that Tamiya could improve is to organise the construction to ease painting. For example, nearly all the cockpit is the same base colour so it makes sense to build and paint it and then add transfers and details (even if that involves some dexterity). Very happy to make more like this and I would if they were lower cost but exchange rates, etc blah...

Stupidly good model of the iconic F-4. Easily the best F-4 in any scale, from any manufacturer. Can't wait for the other versions (F-4N, J, C and D) which are bound to follow.

Appena cominciato il montaggio, già si rivela di altissima qualità , incastri e assemblaggi precisi , finezza eccezionale nelle stampate delle varie pannellature, che altro dire Tamiya è sempre a un livello superiore rispetto alla concorrenza. Se si ricerca un modello e Tamiya lo produce acquistandolo si va sul sicuro, mentre per i modelli non prodotti dalla stessa si deve valutare l'acquisto attraverso le varie recensioni sul web il proprio budget e l'esperienza . Meiner Meinung nach setzt die Phantom in 1:48 von Tamiya neue Maßstäbe , gut detaillierter, durchdacht gestalteter und modellbauerfreundlicher Bausatz. Die Oberflächentexturen sind wunderschön zurückhaltend und die verschiedenen Optionen, einschließlich alternativer Positionen für die hochklappbaren äußeren Flügelteile, sind durchdachte und schöne Details.Auch dass man viele Bauteile wie z.B. Höhen- und Seitenruder während der Bemalung gesteckt lassen kann und sie danach stressfrei demontieren kann, um damit weiter zu arbeiten.Klar, gibt es viele Phantom-Bausätze im Maßstab 1:48, aber das ist die erste Tamiya Phantom in 1:48 und das bedeutet einen genauen, gut detaillierten und clever konstruierten Bausatz, den man von Anfang bis Ende mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht bauen kann.Ich finde den Bausatz sehr empfehlenswert, auch wenn der Preis hoch ist, also vielleicht nicht unbedingt für den blutigen Anfänger geeignet.

Tamiya è una garanzia ma con questo Phantom si è veramente superata.
