I'M IN LOVE!!!
I was hoping for pictures from other reviewer's before I purchased this duvet to help me make my decision easier. So I hope these help you to make your decision process easier.I truly am IN LOVE with this linen duvet. It is soft and snuggly. It's beautiful and so inviting. I love the look that this duvet gives. The look I was going for was airy and beachy, comfortable, casual and cozy. It is definitely all the above. This duvet even looks good when the bed's not made. It's very wrinkly, which I love. We live at the beach and it gives that perfect airy Beachy look. Our kids love snuggling up in our bed to watch movies in our room because of how soft our new duvet is. This duvet has stitching around three sides, just like the description states also there is stitching on all four sides of the pillowcases that form a border. It looks pure white to me although when compared side by side with a bright white it is slightly off-white. Just like when looking for white paint in a store, there are so many shades, no two whites are the same.I searched online for a long time to find the perfect white comfy casual cozy duvet and I'm so glad I found this one. It is way cheaper than other competitive stores that sell linen duvets. If you like the casual beachy look then you will not be disappointed with this linen duvet.

Good quality product with a few drawbacks
I was prepared to love just about any linen duvet cover, and after lots of research on linen fabrics as well as brand comparison, settled on this particular set by Simple & Opulence. What drew me in were the included shams, plus the Belgian linen, plus the embroidered edges. To be fair, it has all of those things, and I would have given it five stars if not for a couple of issues. However, I think three stars is fair and will hopefully allow those coming after me to have a more complete understanding of what they are getting.First, the advertised size of the cover for the Queen size (what I bought) was not the dimension marked on the package. At the time of my purchase, the seller advertised 90" x 92". In fact, when measured mine was 88" x 92". This was also the dimension given on the actual packaging. Two inches in width might not seem like much of a deal, but after scouting the inter-webs to find a cover that would fit my duvet (duvets don't come in standard sizes — who knew?) I was a little disappointed with the inaccuracy. There went the first star. Now let me describe the bedding itself. Both shams have about a two-inch trim around their edges, bordering all four sides. The insert for the pillows is in the middle of the back, with one side overlapping the other. The duvet I received really is beautiful. I purchased the natural linen color, and the fabric is shiny and soft. There are a few slubs in the weave, but overall it's very good for a piece at this price point. The embroidery is satiny, and on the natural cover it's a grayish taupe color. The two sides and the bottom of the cover have a border, while the top edge does not. I personally really appreciated the opening for the insert, which is on the underside at the foot. It's a button closure, but it's hidden from plain site by a flap of fabric. In fact, it was that thoughtful construction that convinced me to keep it in spite of the dimensions. Before going to put it on my bed, I decided to wash it. Unfortunately, at this point I noticed a brownish stain on the top layer of fabric, almost like someone had spilt tea on it. As a Prime member, I decided to see right then if it was returnable, which it was. I really didn't want to go through the trouble of returning it and finding a new one, though, so I decided to treat the stain several times with white vinegar and mild detergent. After six treatments of vinegar and then the detergent, blotting with water in between, the stain came out. Thank goodness. However, the stain is why I docked the second star. To;dr:The dimensions of the duvet cover were not as advertised, and it came with a stain on the cover.Minus two stars for the problems, three stars remaining for design, appearance, and because most people probably won't get one with a stain.

No accurate words to describe linen!
I've waited a year or two to buy linen after going back and forth. I bought some linen sheets from a "high end" different company and this linen duvet cover in white. I see or feel no difference in quality or durability. I am waiting until Christmas season is over and will be buying another duvet cover from Simple&Opulence in Linen color and sheets for our guest room. I have multiple chronic illnesses so sleeping for me is such a challenge. But I literally feel like I have turned a corner in my sleep habits. We have changed over to all natural sleeping fabrics like a wool mattress pad, cotton pillows, all down or wool comforters and blankets. But adding linen has been the magic touch! There really is no way to properly describe linen. It's warm but cool and breathable. Warm enough for winter! Cool for summer. So soft but not silky. Lightweight but "burly". Super snuggly, but not in a fake polyester faux-fur way. In a warm hug way. Breathable yet substantial. I wake up often throughout the night and it used to be so frustrating. But now with my linen sheets, all down comforter, and linen duvet I wake up less grumpy, lol. And fall back asleep all cozy with a smile. Because of my chronic pain, having those weighted blankets or heavy non-breathable synthetic comforters and sheets just aggravated the pain and restlessness.. I have found my happy combination! It's like being surrounded by clouds or soft puffs of air. It sounds silly. But if you haven't tried linen give it a shot. For those who say it's scratchy, give it time. It only gets better. Take care of it like a nice investment. It will be hard to ever sleep on anything else if I have to travel. I understand now why it's been used for 1000's of years for all sorts of clothing, textiles, bedding. Nothing else compares. I LOVE LINEN. :)

Terrible for allergies!
I understand that linen is always going to shed quite a bit more lint than cotton, but this lower-quality fabric took about ten or fifteen washings before it stopped completely filling the lint trap in my dryer. And I still can't use it because my nose still starts to itch the instant I pull it over me and up to my chin. If you don't have allergies and don't mind the lint, then this is a good value, but if you have a sensitive nose, then keep looking!
