Great to keep in the cabinet when you need egg yokes. I used to have a dozen whites frozen in the freezer but now I can just mix up what I need. Seems to work as well as fresh egg yokes.

It seems a little on the expensive side until you add up the cost of all the eggs you'd have to buy to make this amount of eggs. Turns out, its a very good deal! Plus, you don't have to separate the yolks yourself, so it can save you a lot of time and work. Also, it has a much longer shelf life than eggs you would buy at the store. However, I didn't buy this to eat for food, anyway. Instead, I'm using it as a binder for materials in some art projects, and it's been perfect for that.

We use this because my son does egg oral immunotherapy. We have been using this brand for almost two years now. It can be a little chunky at times. This was a great value and quality for the price. We usually mix with milk or water.

If you're a baker, you probably make custards fairly frequently (e.g. lemon curd, pecan pie, lemon bars, etc.). Custard means you need egg yolks. It is a pain in the butt to have to separate eggs and it's wasteful to have to throw out the whites, so I freeze them. I don't use the whites as often. Every grocery store has a carton of egg whites you can buy, so when I'm in a baking frenzy (like for holidays), I just buy a carton. I thought, surely there's somewhere I can get just the yolks, and I googled that and found these. I just made lemon bars for a friend and having these dried egg yolks cut at least 10 minutes off of the time it took and eliminated the mess of separating eggs. Next I'm going to make some cranberry curd, which will be great to swirl in a cheesecake and great on toast. OMG, these are GREAT! Buy these-you won't regret it, and buy them for every baker you know!

Although it is a good product, I wanted to give it to my cats for hairballs because it has Lecithin and one other helpful ingredient can't recall name. However, this has aluminum in it and I won't give that to my cats.
