Fun To Drive
This item would get 5 stars, but the remote and battery it comes with drops a star because it is the "all or none" control, instead of the proportional controls I bought from MK and used for this assembly. The truck drives like a tank, so you use opposite tire directions to steer it since there is no steering servo or mechanics to turn the front wheels as they are in a fixed position. I'm looking forward to driving this outside to see what it can really do, since each wheel hub has gear reduction torque built into it. Just a few notes on assembly. I used some bushings and half bushings where the instructions did not call for them, but they just make sense to install them. Also, if your 8L axles do not stay in to hold the wheel arms at the pivot point, check the position of your 2L lift beams with 1 pin hole and 1 axle hole. The axle hole part of the beam must be in the right position, or the 8L axle will just fall out.

Controls are terrible, and it's even worse to build. I have built $1000 RC crawlers from scratch, built 1000s of lego sets, built saltwater tanks, and pretty handy at fixing most things. This was an absolute nightmare to build. It drives like a tank. One back wheel forward and reverse on one control the other wheel on a different control, then the steering on a separate control.Building it nothing lined up like it was supposed to. Quite a few times I got 30 40 pages through the guide and realized one pin was in the wrong place. The instructions do a terrible job of showing the object as 3d. There is NUMEROUS pieces that are paper thin and if you push just the wrong way it's broken and won't work. You then find yourself getting a drimmel at 2 am on Christmas morning to file the piece because there isn't an extra of this tiny .0005 cent piece that has the crumpability of tin foil.Or building the steering exactly how it showed (even counted teeth on the gears) for the whole front end to have to come apart because they were turning left by roughly 10 degrees. This is a box of spare parts for people with big collections and that is the nicest thing I can say about it.

Not worth the time
The instructions are decent, and the value is there for the money. However, quality control is questionable. I made it about 90% into the build only to find I was missing some specialty pieces. I had to scavenge pieces off of another car I have to make it work. The motors all worked, but they are incredibly weak and slow. It’s supposed to be for off-road and it can’t crawl over a marker on my carpet. The steering is inverted on the controller but works fine using the app which was odd. I wasted hours of my day off building this for it to not be worth it once completed. I’ve purchased a few mould king kits, they often are missing pieces. I would definitely not recommend their motorized kits.

Excellent quality
Superb product. Quality at least on a par with the major brand. Robust enough to handle little kids playing catch. Very sturdy design.
