have been looking for a more padded mat for Body Balance fitness workout as find basic yoga mats to thin and not help as much. This mat does the business, would prefer it a tad wider but does the job intended. Consider mat may be too soft and not as stable for support in my view for some yoga and pilates workouts and would say use with due caution for latter activities, ie apt for hands/feet to slide on material and may not help with physical stability for postures etc, but overall a Winner for me for Body Balance regime and great value for money.

The best mat for your abs or floor workout

I bought this product after seeing someone else with it - I have a hip and back problem and the standard issue mats in classes are so uncomfortable. This is perfect and enables me to do excercises that I couldnt normally do. Its so comfortable and now everyone in my class wants one. I knocked a star off as part of the seam has split - its only a little tear - and as I didnt want to return in and then be without it I have just taped it up. Dont let that put you off buying it as it is a really good buy.

So much better than my ancient exercise mat. I can keep thisin the dressing-room, where I also have my weights bench,and fold it away in the wardrobe for neatness. I use it withmy stomach exerciser and for back strengthening exercises.Cheap and very useful. Arrived quickly, but a bit dented dueto flimsy packing. No real damage, though, so didn'tbother to ask for a replacement.

PROS:The product itself is fine, it's a soft foam that catches well.I use it as a intermediate between a crash mat, and karate mats for breakfalls, it works fine. It provides just enough cushioning to stop falls from being painful if a slight mistake is made, while still allowing the correct form and the floor to be felt.It folds up tidy, and has a smooth easily cleaned surface.CONS:The stitching and joining at the corners and edges, is, in my opinion at least sub par. Making it a slightly disappointing product. Especially considering the price and the company providing it. I was expecting far better quality, and a much nicer finish on the product considering it was a York product.The foams probably a bit too soft for comfort of some people, and during some activities.And the crinkled edges and badly stitched edges are uncomfortable if you end up lying on one.All in all a mediocre finish on an otherwise decent product caused a major drop in this score.

I purchased this mat because of the extra thickness & I wasn't disappointed. When doing floor work exercises it's really comfortable...not like normal mats where your back, knees etc all 'dig-in' to the floor. It's also a nice, full length so you haven't got your feet dangling off the end!!The quality is absolutely fantastic & it folds up neatly for easy storage.I would definately reccommend this mat.

It arrived quuckly on the next day. The mat is super light weight, easy for my girl to move around and very easy to clean. My girl like it so much that she wouldn't let her visitor friends to use it and hang on to it in her hands while she was jumping on the mini bouncer. However, I cannot give it 5 stars because the corners appeared to have torn after a week. Although it doesnt affect it performance but this could have been easily avoid if the manufacturer used a different type of stitching that is elastic so it doesn't cut the fabric. What a pitty!
