Bright lights that are easy to use
Really happy to add this fixture to the kit for the local community theatre group I work with as a technical director. We don't always have a venue with lighting provided, so sometimes need to set up the lights during our move in and even when the venue for our shows provides lightning time is always a crunch so our scenic painter and lightning designer like testing combinations a bit at our warehouse space if they can. While it may not be professional enough for Broadway production it's a couple of steps up from the $20 plastic 36 LED Par Cans that we tried to start with. The big thing is all of the LEDs in the unit are actual RGB LEDs and not just LEDs that are Red, Green, or Blue and you hope for reasonable color mixing. The unit I got was reasonably well packed, with no damage to the steel brackets or the aluminum housing. While the power cable is a bit short, it's a standard-style plug that its easy to get longer cables if needed. Manual control using the buttons on the back was well documented in the small manual and fairly intuitive if you've played with similar light fixtures. One thing I really appreciated is that the DMX fixture profile to control the LPC007 fixture was easily available online, at least for the Luminair iOS software and its built-in database/library as well as for QLC+ (fixture file in the community forums), not that it would be hard to manually set it up with the information in the manual. If you're working on starting a lightning kit or expanding on what you've, whether you're a community theatre group, a DJ or band working on a stage, or even a photographer or videographer wanting to play with colored lights these could be a great option to work with.

Many functions but no directions, sort of noisy fan, kind of big
The media could not be loaded. This light can do many different functions as far as colors, changing speeds, cycling between colors at different speeds, and strobe effects. I found messing with the buttons I was able to guess that R,B,G was a setting from like 0-255, and the higher the number the more of that color, all at 255 was like white. There were other settings like pulsate, flash, color change, etc that I could sort of see from the indicated display but I still don't know what they do.The unit came with nothing for directions so I just kind of winged it and guessed what the controls were. The unit has rather large and while not bad the fan is kind of noisy and I think could be picked up by a mic, etc if one was near it as far as volume probably similar to water from a sink faucet. I have seen other DMX lights that have what look like similar features to this that are about 1/4 the thickness and have no sign of a fan in them. Perhaps this one is a higher power, but something like this smaller seems would be preferred.

This is a great light for someone starting out, or a good addition for an existing setup.
My only con to remark on with this is that the housing is thin, so it feels a bit....cheaper than others that I have. However, the pro there is that this is more lightweight than my others. It does have a powerful fan inside it to keep it cool, so a massive plus. After two hours, the light was only barely above room temperature. The fan is very quiet, especially when compared to my smaller lights. It's DMX compatible and I got this setup very quickly. It outputs a massive amount of light. The sound activated feature works really well. The mic is pretty responsive. It will pick up if you walk around in boots, lol.Overall, this is a great price and has such an easy setup that it would be excellent for a beginner setup. A few of these would light up an indoor venue really well. This light would also add a lot to an existing setup, as it's inexpensive compared to a lot of lights this size, feels very safe when it comes to heat output, and it's easy to use, especially since it's DMX compatible. It pairs well with my other lights and really adds that extra oomph to my shows.

Bright, But Oversized
This is a big light. Much bigger than pars need to be these days. It is very bright, so that’s good. The housing is all plastic, and the cooling fan is rather loud. I would not use this in a professional setting, but it would be fine for home use. I think there are better options out there than this light.

Great Par Light if a Bit Pricey
This par light is fantastic. I tested it with it's own built in settings and they all worked well easily going through RGB solid colors, mixing them, strobing them, fading, them, etc. All of the settings worked correctly.I also hooked it up to a DMX controller and the light performed perfectly in 3 channel and 7 channel mode. All of the function described in the instructions worked correctly 1-1 with the DMX controller. The build quality is really good. The housing itself, and the "feet", are made from what appears to be a fairly durable machined aluminum. The lens itself is plastic but that is to be expected. And the size of this par light is roughly twice the diameter of other once I've seen on the market hence the marketing as the "Big Dipper." In comparing its size and construction to other par lights, that at times have a housing made of plastic, I can see why the price for this light is a bit higher at $79.99 for a single light. There is currently, as of 6/29/23 a $15 dollar off coupon that makes this even more enticing.Overall I can recommend this product as it seem to be of very good quality. And if you are in the market for a par light that is larger than your standard par light this will certainly meet your needs.
