Avana Natural Fireplace Mantel - Mounted Mantles for Over Fireplace - Handcrafted Wood Mantel (Rustic Natural, 48 X 8 X 3)

The mantel itself is perfect. It is easy to install and looks great. I had originally ordered it too small. By the time we hung it and I realized I wasn’t liking the size it was well past the time to send back. I emailed Avana and got a response quickly and they were amazing! The best customer service ever! They shipped me the bigger size immediately and I am so happy with it! I definitely highly recommend anything from Avana.

Very happy with the look and quality of the mantel, its beautiful. Arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. Pretty easy to mount by yourself but having help would be easier.

It has definitely enhanced our fireplace brick wall. No one can really tell it’s not one piece of solid wood until they come up close to examine it as you will be able to see where the wood has been glued together. There’s also not much character to the wood, and it’s a hollow piece, although it has been decently put together. There’s no glue showing and it’s been sanded and stained well. Upon seeing it for the first time, It did make me think “hmm, I could’ve made this for less than half the price”. It actually sat on our living room for two days before we decided to put it up because we weren’t sure if we wanted to keep it. However, it was fairly easy to put up. Overall, for the ease of installation and immediate benefit of quickly improving the look of our fireplace area, it was worth it.

Had this up in less than ten minutes after opening box, very easy to install. I added a few more screws than it came with to make sure it’s holds well. Color and size are great

It was not super easy to install but it is sturdy. Kind of underwhelmed by the color, I thought it would be darker. It’s well constructed and the size is accurate so overall it’s a good shelf.

I don’t ever write reviews, but I love this mantle so much. I put it together myself, and I’m short. It was so easy to assemble - don’t let the other reviews make you question this product. I was a little hesitant because some of the reviews said they didn’t send the right piece for the mantle to hook on to, but looking at their photos they literally had the piece the wrong way. The instructions are super self explanatory. I was fortunate and had studs to hang the mantle where I wanted it hung, but they give you everything you need if you don’t. I envisioned a certain look for my mantle and with this product I was able to accomplish it!

Mantel is as described but the bracket that holds the mantel was split in two major sections at both ends. We were able to wood glue and clamp it together to fix. The color is what I wanted; more of a black than deep brown “espresso”. Screw holes along top are exposed and no caps were provided. One inside corner of mantel was chipped and had to use wood marker to color it in. Overall nice quality minus the few issues.
