Improves look of your fire pit
This was easy to assemble; I've been using this for a year now and it has held up very well. We first used it summer of last year, a few times in the winter and several more times this spring. The top still has the original coating, thought the coating in the inner portion has burned off and has a light rust. However, it's a light rust and the metal is still solid due to it's initial thickness. It looks like this should last several more years the way we are using it. Adding this ring makes the fire pit much better looking.

Not as thickened and sturdy as they claim but nice.
ProsIt looks good out of the box and is easy to put together. I got the 31” and that is a very nice size for a smaller homes backyard fire pit.Still waiting to use as I have yet to prep the area for use.Cons.The fit is not as great as I hoped. The elongated holes make installation easy. But if you are not paying attention or you place it on uneven ground the individual pieces will sit higher leaving a 1/8” gap.My ring came with one damaged top lip as seen in the picture. Also, the damage easily flaked the paint so heat resistant paint looks like it has not bonded to the metal. I have the tools and knowledge to repair it but most do not. Additionally, I am not hung up on how good it looks as the heat and weather will most likely do more damage. The metal thickness and obvious lack of sturdiness is less than expected. I have made other fire pits and this one is inferior to the kits I used from landscape companies or big box stores. I hope it will hold up to midwest American weather and the fires we will eventually enjoy in it.Know that this is just a metal ring that is commonly used as a liner. A proper fire proof base and stone outer facing is usually used to make this a safe fire pit.

Easy to put together
It was super easy to put together and it looks great in my DIY fire pit! Only realize, that the bottom of the ring, doesn’t go all the way to the ground. I had initially thought it would but, that was my mistake for not measuring for that. Just something to think about if you purchase this fire pit ring.

Yes Indeed!!!
We built a fire pit with just bricks which was all we had. This ring not only held the bricks together, it gave the pit a really great look and is protecting the bricks from heat damage. Been having it for a while now, gets rained on, yet still in great shape!

Is a great insert
Used this to go over the top of a brick backyard fire pit. Does a great job of protecting the brick. It was easy to put together and we felt like it was sturdy.

A bit thin and poor quality
First, to use these properly they need vent holes drilled around the perimeter and adequate space needs to be maintained between ait inlets on the blocks and this trim ring. This is for the average DIYer that wants to make a fire pit from a full circle of home center blocks. Surface rusted after first use. I do recommend them for the price if your are going to drilll your own holes and re spray with high temp paint.
