These are handy for cutting wire of hardware cloth and easier to manage than tin snips

This tool is constructed of Chromium-Vanadium steel (Cr-V), it is very durable and is used in high torque environments due to it's ability to withstand high forces of torque. This tool opens and closes like standard pliers and open's to the width of an adult size hand grip, a wrapped coil of sheet metal is utilized as a compression spring to keep the tool open while you are working on your project. Two cutting anvil jaws are located in the center of the tool for cutting deeper gauge wires and nails. There is a folding lanyard at the base of the tool that interlocks to the opposing handle to keep tool closed when not in use.Product Dimension. (Closed) 8" Long x 2" Wide x .75" Depth. These are little cutters for cutting little things. I was able to cut a deck screw, which is pretty hardened metal, but it did require a lot of effort. I think many of the things that these are best suited for could also be cut with lineman pliers, but with less effort with these. I honestly am not sure the best application for these - probably they would work great on chain link fencing. Otherwise, myself I usually am cutting even smaller things like wire, or large enough stuff to get the grinder or saw out. The quality seems to be good. I cannot comment on the longevity of the cutters.

I haven't really used these yet I got them to have because it's something I don't have but needed more than once. They came rather quickly and I've uses them just trying out cutting different wires and nails and they worked great. Make a nice addition to my toolbox as well.

I bought a similar pair very recently and it happened to remain unused until today. I wanted it to cut fasteners and nails that are too thick for scissors or small diagonal cutters, but too small to be able to use the larger hand or power tools effectively. So things like nails, thick wire, metal straps, etc. This is a nearly identical copy of that well known, very high quality (and the price to match) pair of mini bolt cutters.I thought a great way to review this is to compare the two. The pics show my original version on the left, with the Workpro on the right, both sides. The only difference I notice is the Workpro has a spring and therefore had a need for a latch to keep them closed when putting them away. Note that the Workpro jaws are not completely closed when the latch is in place, but when squeezed, they do close perfectly. As far as performance, I took a couple nails of different sizes and cut them with both pairs. The import seems very marginally, insignificantly smoother, but both cut the nails with ease, and I couldn't tell a real difference. So for 20% of the cost (list price to list price), or less than 1/3 of the sale prices at present, I think this is a great way to go. Even if for some reason you end up having a problem with the Workpro or it's lost, and you have to replace it with another, you're still coming out ahead. They're a great pair, I was pleasantly surprised.

Had to test this bad boy out and it did really well. Cut right through some wire I had lying around. Looks great in my tool box too.

The media could not be loaded.  This mini bolt cutter can make a few cuts before the blades go out of alignment or get chipped. It has a spring and a clip to keep it closed. The ergonomics of the handle are actually pretty great, feels natural to grip and it's easy to get leverage on.I tested cutting everything from copper to stainless steel to screws and nails. By the time I got to the nails the blades had started to overlap and not close precisely. After cutting a few nails the blades had some indentations in them. They still work, but the steel they are made from doesn't seem to be very hard.The price is reasonable, but for about $10 more you could get the Capri Mini Bolt Cutters that perform much better. You'll have to decide if it's worth it.

These cutters work very well for smaller bolts and screws. I recently used it to cut off the toilet floor bolts when I replaced a toilet at my Dad's house. Much quicker and easier than cutting it with a hacksaw. Solidly built, very nice.

Got these pliers for convenience as normal snips wont cope with barbed wire and bolt cutters are a two handed job. These cutters are amazing. Effortless cutting. They say up to 4mm, not tried them on that but would expect them to be up to it. The double jointed pivot gives incredible leverage. and the nonslip handles make them a pleasure to use. And not a bad price for such a well made bit of kit. Very happy.

Da ich vorher mit einer etwas namhafteren Version eines Mini Bolzenschneiders gearbeitet habe, wollte ich mich, nach dessen defekt, hieran probieren. Nun also zu den Fakten:✅ FEDERUNG funktioniert super und leichtgängig✅ SCHNEIDKRAFT ist annähernd gleich✅ Auch nach etwa bisher intensiver Nutzung noch keine negativen Nutzungserscheinungen❌ Fehlerhaft finde ich die Sperrspange am Ende, da dieser jedesmal mein Drücken an der Hand drückt und behindert. Mag man am Anfang noch Akzeptanz finden, habe ich es zum Schluss abgemacht(Positiv: es lässt sich leicht abnehmen + leicht wieder herabsetzen)Daher gibt es den 1 Stern Abzug.Ansonsten keinerlei Unterschied in der Alltagsnutzung im Beruf, wie ich finde
