These pillows arrive in a flat vacuum pack. They don’t look like they will fluff up, but just wait. After day or so, the pillow is completely inflated and very full. As shipped, they are MUCH too firm for me (and too thick).No worries - grab a bag, unzip the end, and start removing handfuls of the shredded foam. Regardless of how soft or firm you want your pillow, there will be a point where you can customize these pillows to your liking. (As a general rule, all memory foam pillows tend to lean towards a firmer feel and this one is no different.)I kept the removed foam for future use. Depending on your firmness level you are likely to have enough material to fill a throw pillow (you can find throw pillow covers on amazon). Out of the box, these pillows are really stuffed!

I ordered this set of pillows to see if it would make a difference in our bedroom. We live in Hawaiʻi, and donʻt have air conditioning. This makes for some pretty warm sleep! Straight out of the box, the pillows are cool to the touch. The shredded foam keeps the pillow firm but comfortable. It doesnʻt take long for the pillows to expand and there are no weird smells, which is great! A regular pillowcase blocks a little of the cooling. Next, we need cooling pillowcases!

I really like these pillows, they are completely customizable to your comfort level and the shredded memory foam is very comfortable with a decent amount of give for your head. They have an inner zippered liner for the foam with an outer zippered cover with cooling technology built in. Great idea and great price point for these. If you need a pair of pillows that you can customize to your needs than look no further.

For a long time I've used two pillows, one very soft and one very firm. I tend to "run hot" and so I thought I would see how sleeping with one of these in place of my two pillow combination would work out.I am very pleased to say it worked out far better than I expected. These pillows are thick and firm, but the surface has enough softness to feel like the pillow is supportive but not hard, which is a luxurious combination. And I never felt like the pillow was too warm.The only reason I am holding back a fifth star is that these pillows weigh quite a bit and although that is probably an inevitable result of the design, it does make it a bit of a struggle when you change linens. Overall, that's a minor complaint.Highly recommended.

I'm normally a two pillow kind of person but these pillows are so big and full I only need one pillow now. They are very firm yet very soft, I don't know how to describe it. They aren't your typical memory foam, they feel more like a real pillow but so mcuh better. It is the most comfortable pillow I have ever used and I've gone through many, many pillows in my life. HIGHLY recommend!

I have experience with memory foam pillows, and I love them. I got a new bedroom set and wanted a new memory foam pillow. Upon opening the box, I noticed that it comes in a plastic wrap. As soon as I took the plastic wrap, the pillow became firm but plush. I liked the soft pillowcase that is removable for washing. I liked the blue lining of the pillowcase. The pillowcase cover is visible even with the additional pillowcase that I used. The firmness of the pillow was surprisingly pleasant. The pillow contoured my head and neck for soft relaxation. As soon as I got off the pillow, the pillow reformed into its shape. The shredded memory foam is of exceptional quality. Overall, the shredded memory foam pillows are a good value, and the item description is accurate.
