i bought it for the whitecast because im pale and use makeup every day...makes bright complexion. its absorbs nice. it doesnt burn my skin or eyes. and its hydrating. everyone wants pale ''glass skin'' till its suncreen. please read reviews before buying!!! WILL GIVE WHITECAST. OTHER KINDS DO NOT HAVE WHITECAST. PLS STOP COMPLAINING AND ASKING FOR REFORMULATION XD!!!! there is literally a different ceraVe sunscreen that is sheer AND tinted!!! THIS ONE IS WHITE CAST FOR SUN PROTECTION!!!!!!!! one of the best and not as shiny as others ive used.

This product is for the BODY and is much whiter on the skin than the FACE product. Does not rub in easily. More titanium dioxide? I accidently ordered it, as its not easy to gleen from the website that its for the BODY not the FACE. FYI No returns. Love the FACE product and use it daily.

I like the rest of Cerave's line up, I use a ton of their other products. Their Skin Renewing Night Cream is probably one of the best moisturizers on the market at this moment and can go toe to toe with some of the big expensive brands you'd find at Sephora. I use their Diabetics Dry Skin Cream all the time and it's positively divine, so much so that I haven't bothered to test out other brands. It's just that good.This? This thing? I genuinely can't believe this is amongst their other products. I read a couple of reviews saying it leaves a white cast and I, looking for a way to make my fair medium skin tone lean more towards the fair end thought "hey, maybe it will lend me just enough to lighten me up a hair."No.I only used a tiny dab, not even the full amount you're SUPPOSED to use on your face and not only did it leave me with a white cast but with a blue-ish grey-ish cast that genuinely made me look like I had died about 6 hours ago. UNBELIEVABLY bad cast. And I'm a white person! If that leaves a cast that intense on me, I can't even imagine what kind of cast it would leave on someone darker than me!I get it, this is probably purely a physical sunscreen, its probably all zinc or mineral or something like that in there and the point is that is creates a literal physical barrier so that the uv light can't penetrate through or it bounces off. You can't have a physical barrier without it existing, that's literally impossible. HOWEVER. The fact that it's THAT bad of a blue grey cast??? What are we doing here?????

Good, inexpensive mineral face sunscreen. But gives you that ghost face. Now mix with Australian Gold tinted and some improvement. Very difficult to remove, but hey, I live in Florida!

This product had good reviews and I really like a lot of Cerave products so I was surprised when I tried this product. It left a very white cast and was difficult to rub in. I am very pale so a little white cast doesn’t usually bother me but I looked like queen elizabeth with this. It did eventually fade, but then left a slightly sticky or tacky finish. Pretty disappointed with this product.

I use and really like this brand’s stick version around my eyes, which goes on so smooth and silky. I expected this mineral sunscreen for the face to be similar, but unfortunately, it wasn’t.I bought it because I wanted a mineral option to avoid the irritation my old chemical sunscreen causes when it gets into my eyes. While this one doesn’t irritate my eyes, it has other drawbacks. It goes on thick and pasty, even after applying hyaluronic acid serum beforehand. It feels tacky and heavy, making my skin feel like it can’t breathe.No matter how thinly I apply it, it leaves a noticeable white residue that I can’t blend in. It leaves behind areas of white, especially in my hairline and eyebrows. It also settles into my forehead wrinkles, laugh lines, and around my nostrils, creating lines of white. And the off casting makes me look sickly. It’s not something I feel comfortable wearing in public. Unfortunately this isn't the right product for me and I’ll be switching back to my old sunscreen that feels more lightweight, manageable, and doesn't leave me with a pale face and white lines.
