Great deal for an easy upgrade with simple directions

These are fantastic for adding extra storage! However if you are not mechanically inclined (like myself), it is going to take a while to set up. It’s one of those things where it is worth the time and makes everyday life easier. I needed a stud finder, a good drill and an extra hand. But I would say it’s worth it.

I really like this closet system. It added 3 ft more of hanging space plus shelves! It shipped very quickly.

I am updating this due to the fact that the shelf (which was not overloaded in any way) has collapsed on me twice. The first time, I thought that one of the back clips had failed and allowed the shelf to slip out of the plastic bracket. This time, the plastic bracket actually ripped at the bottom, allowing the shelf to collapse and dump all of my clothes onto the floor. I went to the Rubbermaid website and they do not offer ANY replacement parts for this system. So I basically have to purchase a whole new system in order to fix the problem, rather than just buy a replacement bracket. So now I am looking at jury rigging a non-Rubbermaid metal bracket to work with this system. We have this exact system (but older) in another closet and it has held up. I can only assume that the plastic on this one is of inferior quality to the older unit. I would not recommend that anyone purchase this, especially at the much higher price point (I paid less than sixty dollars for this item in 2018). For a system that does not offer replacement parts, I think you are better off paying a little more for another brand that has replacement parts all over the place on Amazon. That's what I will probably do eventually. In the meantime, I have about half the amount of clothes that it should be capable of holding and the bracket is duct taped to help hold the shelf up. And nothing at all on the shelf above.First review:If you know how to measure, level and use a drill, this was relatively easy to install. The system fit my closet with some modifications (the two top shelves pretty much meet in the middle, giving me one long shelf. I could have cut them off, but why? To leave a gap that I can't use? I think not. The amount of space I now have in my closet is totally worth the installation hassle. Very happy. Will probably buy another. Worth the price.

Fairly easy assembly. I did it myself and started from the bottom up. Got it done eventually. Seems sturdy and a good amount of hanging space.

A little time consuming to set up properly, but for anyone with basic mechanical skills it is easy. We customized this for our application and has worked well.

Not a good solution for closet shelving. Save the $70 and have your local home improvement store cut shelving planks and a handful of studs for you and install yourself for the same price.Making my own wooden shelving was much easier than trying to install this cheaply made wire shelving. (See photo for idea)As well as the cheap construction, the 5'-8' measurement is misleading because the shelving only fits a greater than 8' wide closet unless you actually saw down the shelving yourself. This was not made clear until I received the instructions found inside the box.
