Great size, lots of puzzles but not very challenging for my 6 year old.
I debated about how many stars to give this puzzle book because while it has a lot of puzzles and is well made the puzzles don't challenge my 6 year old. My son turned 6 recently and has been doing hidden picture puzzles for the last year or so and he loves them. I bought this book because it says for 5 and up so I thought it would be more challenging. So, I think this is a great book for the value and if your child is just starting out or only does moderately well at the hidden pictures then this book might work for you. I would say that if your child loves them and is good at them, then you may want to find a different book.

This is just so so at least first impression
It's okay we only got to the second picture and have been struggling the pictures are much smaller than the small pictures at the bottom of the page showing what is hidden. The pictures just being sketched that are hidden are on a very dark background very difficult to see for an adult let alone a younger child there are better books out there. I guess I should mention though the child in question is just 5 and perhaps a seven-year-old would find this not as much of a challenge. The pictures are colorful but that's part of the problem they're such a dark color involved that is very difficult to see the line hidden pictures. Judging by all the other rave reviews I'm guessing this might be an age issue but then I guess it is hard for the grandparents age to find it as well as the young people because I can't find the stuff either :-)

These books are great and NOT just for kids! They're also wonderful tools for those with dementia!
I love the School Zone books and wish they came out more often. My mother has dementia and in my search to find activities to keep her brain stimulated, I discovered this line. She loves trying to find the hidden pictures but there other activity books like math, mazes, etc. She loves the full color illustrations. I think they make the books so much more appealing and help to keep her interest. If you have very young children or you're searching for cute and fun activities for an older loved one dealing with dementia I think you should definitely pick up one of these books. I found a winner and hopefully others will have the same results.

A nice book, good value, but...
Love hidden pictures; but images are very small & not suited for a 4--5 year old. Will keep the book until child is older.

Kindergartener loves it
6 year old loves it. I always take it with us when we dine out. It keeps the kindergartener busy and entertained while we wait for our food. It’s not too easy to solve in a blink of eye; it’s not too difficult to frustrate him. We sometimes make it a game of who calls out the answer 1st.

Hidden Pictures Super Delux Book
This book is a big hit with my 3 1/2 year old grand daughter. Sometimes she just feels like doing a couple of pages, other times she wants to do more. Great price. I was reluctant to buy it at first because the cover says the appropriate age is 5+, but of course this depends upon the child, their interest span and so forth. It is challenging but not overly difficult.
