This is my fourth Language Map, along with the others for Italian, Spanish and Hebrew. The Maps are very handy and allow you to at least use the simple words and phases to help you communicate in each language. Of course, it takes a lot of learning and usage to really master any language. For myself, just learning the basics at least allowed me to "break the ice" with so many interesting persons of other cultures. I do have knowledge of the Italian language and use it regularly, but like to use the Map for learning what is new, such as words used in today's technology. I have fun with the other languages, even in a limited manner - I find that they bring people together and there is an appreciation for being able to "reach out" and to connect with other nationalities.

Well, anyone want to borrow this? Greece is full of English signs, most people speak English. I did learn one word, for 'thank you', but I didn't need this to learn it. We were only there a couple of days, stayed in Athens. It's really nicely done, might work well for people who go to rural areas. I broke my phone which has a translating app. So, if needed, this would have done nicely. Very well done phonetics.

I work in a call center and do not always have a translation service available. I use these to help me collect basic info like addresses, phone numbers, and such.

Was better than nothing, easy to carry. I ended up pointing to the phrase in Greek of what I wanted to ask since the pronunciation clues were evidently really bad. My daughter and I did borrow « learn Greek in your car » cds before we traveled. I would strongly recommend taking tutoring lessons from a native Greek speaker before your trip. The alphabet helped me with the names of saints in paintings. I have successfully navigated in French,Spanish, Japanese and German. Greek is really difficult. One host left us a standard English -Greek dictionary which was much more useful.

small, easy to pack and useful words/phrases that are separated into categories like "restaurants", "hotel", "tech", etc.

I live that this is a versatile piece and is handy for those one line questions. Love that’s it’s like a map and laminated too!

This is exactly what I was looking for! Our family is headed to Greece later this year and we're all trying to learn the basics. I'm sure this will make communicating in the smaller villages a little easier. Can't wait to try out my Greek!
