I ordered two sets for the living room windows. I wasn't sure what had arrived when I got the Amazon box because it was quite heavy for two curtain sets. They are decently thick and heavy and the material feels great. I am switching my old cheap curtain rods out soon because they may not hold the weight of these for very long. It's fine right now. One is bent, it's been that way for ages.. The cats can innocently walk by and our old curtains would fall. The quality of the curtains is superb and they are beautiful. We switched from two other popular brands of department store blackout/ light filtering which does not block out much light at all and on top our old ones are super thin and look super super cheap and ugly. These are just beautiful and the chocolate we ordered blocks out all light from the windows.As you can see in the picture our front door has a window and we had the lights on in the living room but you can't see light coming through the actual window. We don't even have blinds up. I didn't think blackouts could be this beautiful and elegant. They look so rich and pricey. I was pleasantly surprised! I'll be replacing all of our windows with these soon. I also didn't need to iron these as some reviewers stated that they may need to be put in the dryer or ironed. The few wrinkles disappeared when hung. The tie backs are an added bonus. The length is perfect for our windows but these are pretty wide which is great, I could have easily used just one for each window in the living room with room to spare. Someone stated these are a magnet for fur but that's not the case for us. We have two cats and a lot of dust in the house from my hubbys collectibles and junk, no matter how much we dust. I haven't noticed these catching any dust or fur yet.I just ordered these in gray for the bedroom which is a large window so we can replace the cheap ones which are 42" wide per panel (barely covers) with these that are 52-53" per panel and will provide better coverage and better blackout while looking more expensive and elegant so it's a win win. I can't wait to receive them in a few days. I also ordered blackout blinds (self adhesive) on Amazon too as to make sure the room is pitch black. Lol.. We have no blinds in the house minus one room and I want the bedroom black. I tend to wake up at 6-7 like clock work and I'm hoping this helps some and hoping they keep the cool out this winter.Update: I received the gray curtains and they block out about 90-95% of the light as opposed to the chocolate that blocks out 99% but in all fairness we have a huge bay window in the bedroom and these are still the best we have tried in there and both panels cover the entire window perfectly, with some room. I recycled our old cheap thin curtains into valances. I have the gray utopia sheets and moroccan comforter set by Utopia and they aren't an exact match. The curtains have the slightest tint of brown when placed right next to the sheets but don't appear that way from the window so they actually go well together, very close but not a perfect match. No one will know.. The window looks much better and this blocks out a LOT more light then our old ones. Huge difference.

Update: I've moved and now have a 3rd window in my bedroom where these curtains hang. I hopped on amazon immediately upon moving in and used the "Buy Again" feature to get a 3rd set of these. They arrived and I hung them up and I've got to say not only have these curtains over doubled in price since my initial purchase a couple years ago, the quality isn't the same. Flecks of light come through the fabric. I was most worried about the color not matching to curtains purchased years ago but the only fading that's happened on the older ones was on the window side and didn't transfer through to the room side. So, although I'd still recommend these drapes, they're definitely not the great buy they were when I initially wrote a review.These curtains are perfect! I’ve lived in my home for 3 years now and I’ve been debating back and forth the entire 3 years on which curtains to get for my bedroom. I would enjoy to sleep in on the weekends but the light coming through the blinds didn’t allow for that. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and most blackout curtains are twice the price of these for just ONE panel. Finally I set out to just bite the bullet and buy some and I came across these. The price was right and the reviews were mostly positive. They came today (Sunday delivery!!!) and I immediately hung them up. I got the navy blue and they are true 100% blackout drapes unlike some of the other reviews state for lighter colors. My bedroom is now like a dark cave and I love it! Initially I wanted a navy velvet but again I didn’t want to spend a ton and the fabric on these is a thick rich microfiber which is quite similar to velvet in appearance especially from across the room. I HIGHLY recommend these curtains! Photo represents the most important factor of these curtains for me. Zero light comes through the fabric!

I ordered one set to see how it works. They are to short for the windows I need curtains for but they fit my bathroom window perfect! They are thick and well made. I've bought curtains from Walmart, JC Penney, Target and other box stores and they were all thin and poorly made! If you want this thick of material you will need to buy 2 at box stores and pay an outstanding amount since they sell them individually and not a set! I can't believe you get a complete set for this price! This is how they should sell curtains since it takes 2 to cover a window! Box stores are over priced for the crappy thin curtains they sell! I will definitely buy these again but in a longer length.I bought the chocolate because I'm repainting and it will go excellent with the new color. I'll be contacting this vendor to see if they have the length I need and if they have them in the chocolate and a cream. I love the color and it's not the shen you get at the box stores! I don't like the shinny stuff you get! These block the light out perfect and hangs great. I love that they have both the standard curtain rod hem or the pocket rocket hem. So if I want to use a decorative rod I can or I can use a standard rod. It's like a 2 in one black out curtains.If you decide to purchase these then please remember that it takes 2 curtains to cover a window! If you put one curtain on a window then it will look getto...like you hung a sheet on it...one window takes the set you ordered! If you have 2 windows that you need to cover then you need to purchase 2. If you have 3 windows then purchase 3 and etc. Each window should have the 2 curtains on them (one on the left side and one on the right side) unless you are going for the sheet on a window look and please remember that the curtain tie backs are supposed to be fixed to the wall NOT tied to the curtains themselves!Cons are there are not any instructions for those who don't know/never put up curtains. PLEASE... PLEASE for the love of God put instructions in your packaging! Some of the pictures are disturbing!

These do the job for a perfect blackout curtain, even helps with noise reduction from the street. I highly recommend these if your looking for a good blackout curtain, mine were navy and they work very well.

Are you looking for black and no sun? Do you want zero sunshine and no one able to see inside your windows? Then these drapes are for you.I sometimes work the night shift and/or like to sleep in on the weekends. After buying these drapes I can finally enjoy a relaxing sleep in. They make your room pitch black even in direct sunlight.Highly recommend!

Blocks out all the sunlight, room is completely dark with these curtains, very satisfied with the product.

These moderate to heavy weight curtain panels are good especially for the price. They have more sheen in the grey color fabric than i would like (silver grey as opposed to matte) in a masculine room but they do work well as expected for blackout type panels (used on a window and closet to replace doors). These were washed and lightly machine dried and then steamed while on the bar to help them lay nicely, it was a fair amount of work because they are heavy enough fabric wise to put up a good fight regarding how they sit on the rod, or out from the wall.

As a blue collar worker, early mornings means early bed time! Purchase these just in time for day light savings. They’re honestly the best curtains one can buy. It stops any light from coming in the room and also the heat!Can’t tell if it’s daylight or night outside!
