This product works awesome for zucchini and carrots. The strands come out like noodles and are very easy to add to pasta or eat on their own. I personally like to add them to pasta so that my body thinks it is eating carbs and is getting a helping of veggies at the same time, but they are definitely good enough strands to be on their own for you that are more dedicated to eating your vegetables. Cucumbers were a bit harder to do, as the seeds and mushy center would clog up the blades, however I made a great salad with cucumber noodles and cabbage with some vinegar, sesame oil and seasonings. I read some other reviews and saw that people had struggled with this and potatoes, but I haven't tried potatoes with this product yet. If I do, I will let you all know! Overall, I am very satisfied and will continue to use this.

You can pay the much higher price for a bigger gadget or you can be smart and grab one of these. It is easier to store anywhere because of the size and does the dame job as the much higher priced, bigger ones. It is not complicated to use and best of all it helps you turn veggies in to the perfect pasta replacement ( no it doesn't taste like pasta but the difference is pleasantly surprising) If you are like me and trying to diet and eat better overall this is a must. You will be surprised how replacing different meal items with a spiraled veggie looks nicer, tastes good and makes you feel better after you eat a plateful!Wish I had known about this sooner as I would have bought a bunch of them as stocking stuffers! I will next Christmas!

Super impressed with this tool. Honestly, for the price, I wasn't really sure what to expect. I went in with low expectations, and was pleasantly surprised. I've made noodles with carrots, zucchini, yellow squash, and cucumber within minutes. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and makes veggie noodles something that can be done on the fly in minimal time. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I thought the lid would allow me to push and twist that last little piece in, which it doesn't. I'm actually not really sure why the lid is needed. Not a big deal, though. Just chop up the small piece that's left, and throw it in.

I keep hearing about "zucchini spaghetti" and "squash spaghetti", and how great it is .. So I jumped on the opportunity to buy this! My daughter has a gluten allergy, and she can never eat pasta without getting sick.. NOT anymore! This small, compact slicer isn't a huge machine to store, either. I was ecstatic to see the hand-held convenient size, with the blades protected from small hands. It stores easily and is very functional. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to eat healthy, but GOOD food!

Despite a small box, the spiral slicer is well packed and easy to remove. It is sleek and expensive looking despite it's very affordable price. I looked at other hand held spiralizers but didn't like the ones that were all plastic as they looked cheap. mKitchen's product looks sturdy and well built. Easy to use and to select the size of spiralizing, it is also easy to clean. The added peeler works ok but is a nice added bonus.

Now I can finally make some great, HEALTHY meals! This item is very easy to clean and use. One side is for slicing thinner "noodles" and the other for larger. You use it as if the vegetable was a pencil and you are sharpening it. There is a cap that sits on the end of the vegetable which helps to hold it in place.If you want the perfect zucchini noodles - this IS your answer!

Difficult to use. Takes muscle. Not the greatest results either. Maybe I just never really got the hang of it, but I think you can find a better type of tool for this use.

The spiralizer was easy to use, operates much like a pencil sharpener. Just insert the whole peeled zucchini or other firm vegetable and turn it. I made a simple and delicious zucchini and tomato salad by spiralizing the zucchini, cutting some cherry tomatoes in quarters, and topping with a lime vinaigrette. Very light, healthy, and tasty.
