Q: would i be able to put rubber "grips" on the base to keep it from sliding on my hardwood floor?

I have hardwood floor. It works perfectly for me. I will recommend this product.

Not really, no. The entire unit is a very hard plastic. I'm using mine on carpet, so it doesn't skid at all, but I couldn't be sure about a hardwood floor.

Q: What is the warranty on this item? I purchased it last March (2021), but the base has already broken and metal pin is out of place.
