Fun to put together and surprisingly sturdy
I love building models and have completed many of them. Although, I have never really enjoyed the types that don't require glue to put them together. I have tried wooden ones where the pieces slide together and, while it looked nice, wasn't enough of a challenge for me to enjoy. This puzzle surprised me! It does just slide together, but has many pieces, and becomes very intricate at times. The pieces fit together extremely well which makes the overall ship look beautiful. The instructions were easy to follow. The pieces were easy to remove without worrying about destroying any of them, as long as you were careful. As I put it together the ship turned out to be very sturdy. I didn't have to worry about pieces falling off, or the ship being squashed, which handling it.The end result was a nice sized ship with a lot of detail. The LED lights are a nice addition, and it looks great on the display stand, which you assemble as well. It was challenging enough to keep me interested, and priced extremely well.Keep in mind that even though this model is built without paint or glue, it may be too difficult for young children.I definitely recommend this for any model lover and will certainly keep my eye out for similar products.

Really fun Christmas gift
Gave this to my wife as a Christmas gift. She loves puzzles and is also really into pirates so I thought that this would be perfect. Indeed, it was.She really enjoyed working on this during her Christmas break and the end result is a really cool piece that we will place onto a floating shelf in her home office. All of the pieces were there and they are of quality construction. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. We did have to use a tiny spot of super glue on two pieces at the bow of the ship but other than that, everything fit together the way it was supposed to.

Actually impressed!
So in all honesty, it was a bit of a pain at times to assemble. The directions weren't awful but they were not great either. I did expect it to be a more sturdier material so when I opened the packaging I was kinda shocked that it was mainly flimsy cardboard. With that being said, I was impressed with the fact it came together so nicely and looks incredible as it does. With the leds of or on it looks good, it has a nice size to it once completed and it does hold up. The only thing that feels like a bummer is how long will this cardboard ship last?

Hoist the Mains'l and Scuttle the Jib!
This was a fun project to build Blackbeard’s ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, which was the first of this type of craft for our household. This one was completed over a couple of afternoons, maybe 8 hours in all.A large-sized booklet comes with this set, providing some historical information and pictures on the actual ship and its captain. The instructions enclosed are pictorial based, akin to what a large Lego set would look like, but are easy enough to follow. The pieces are all cardboard, aside from the woven paper sails. Lots of tiny pieces, plus many cannons(!), but the pre-cut piece boards came out nicely. The addition of lighting is a lovely touch, where the model's interior is given some extra life.If I had a druther, it would be the masts and sails. Because it is made of cardboard, there is very little give as there might be with foam. This meant a little bending and very tight fits amongst the attached masts, which I supported with a little tape, just in case. If I had to do it again, I would have approached these pieces much differently. But all in all, this was an enjoyable craft, one that is largely without frustration. The end product is quite satisfying looking too. Recommended.

Family project
Got this for the family to build. It went well. Some of the parts are small so having someone with small hands and good eyes was helpful.

Great Gift For Jigsaw Puzzle Lovers
Our adult son has been crazy for jigsaw puzzles since he was a little boy. We get him one every year at Christmas. This year we decided to go a little different and looked at 3D puzzles. We chose this because it has a lot of little details, has led lights, and can be displayed after being finished. He seemed to like it when he opened it Christmas Eve, but wasn't particularly enthusiastic. Fast forward to 11pm, after they had gone home and gotten three excitable little kids to bed. His fiancee texts me pictures of him with it halfway put together. He told her he wasn't going to bed until he finished it. It's really nice-looking when finished and with the lights in. Very detailed, looks great, especially in a darkened room with the led lights on. It was challenging and interesting enough for him refused to walk away from it unfinished; he would absolutely have put it aside if it wasn't. He has it on a high shelf. Unlike flat puzzles, it doesn't require glue in order to display it. He likes it so much that he's said he would love to get more for his birthday and Christmas. We will definitely be buying the other versions. Excellent gift for someone who likes puzzles or is interested in pirate ships.
