Very good for the money. Paris for itself the first time I used it. Took some getting used to on the ceiling and it's heavy to run for extended periods of time. Careful cause it doesn't do corners very well and it's easy to dig in till you get used to it but it saved a lot of work. Not as good as the ones I've rented but for the money it can't be beat and is a valuable addition I'll be using frequently. If it lasts a year, I'd buy it every year.

I was looking at a day of hand sanding a large area of drywall. I am old and not rushing to scrub a sander for hours on end. So I ordered this thing and it took me about an hour to sand the area flat. It is not dust "free" but the dust is greatly reduced, especially for a power sander, and the effort was minimal. Not too heavy a tool for the speed trade-off you are getting. Good tool for the money.

I remodel bathrooms and kitchens for a living, so I generally know what to expect from inexpensive tools. This one surprised me...With the exception of inside corners, this tool do an excellent job of flattening and smoothing the drywall mud. The led lighting provides exactly the right shadowing to show where you need to sand, and it was plenty powerful to run any grit paper.Not needing to connect a vacuum was spectacular, and it collected 95% of the dust.Its kind of bulky and unwieldy in a small room, and the bag leaks dust easily if you bump it. Works best with two people managing it.Easily rivals the functionality of drywall sanding machines that cost 5x more.

I work with drywall, and I have seeing other workers working with this type of tool, I mean different brand, when I find it at Amazon, first of all I thought it’s a good price, then I bought, but when I opened the box, and held it, I said OMG this is soooo HEAVY, then when I start work with, JESUS CHRIST, it’s impossible to work all day handling it, it’s extremely heavy, because it’s heavy you can’t sand the area properly because you feel tired with your arms, so I’m really disappointed, I will return, otherwise I will sell it and buy another one light.

The built in vacuum was a good selling point but I found it pretty useless. Instead, I disconnected the included bag and connected the hose to my shop vac and then everything was perfect. The rest of the functions of the sander worked great. It is pretty heavy though, so it gets tiring quickly.

Overall, I’m impressed with the performance of Orion power sander. The built-in dust collection system works effectively and the included sanding discs lasted a long time and removed material quickly leaving a smooth surface. The LED ring lights instantly highlights any imperfections.As mentioned earlier, the assembly instructions are lacking and increase the time required to assemble the unit. The fit of the telescoping handle is really tight makes adjusting the length of the handle a “tug of war”. The dust collection bag no longer has a zipper - it has been replaced with a sliding locking channel which works very well. Just remember to not remove the channel all the way when emptying the the bad - re-installing the channel is doable but a major hassle.Even with the short comings listed above I would definitely recommend this unit.

Wired better than anticipated. Being a professional contractor I had my doubts. Sorry I didn’t by this sooner. It definitely cut the sanding time. Some dust but way better than hand sanding.

First off, the unit does an amazing job of sanding. The LED lights really do help to see the area you arw working in. The unit is easy put together and simple to operate.The bad- The built in vacuum does not produce enough suction to do anythingThere was ao much dust that I had to shut it down and let it settle ao I could see. I double checked everything, including lining up the holes in the sanding disc with the pad. It didn't help. I found that there was a gig glob of peteoleum jelly inside the connection pcs. That was put there so the adjustable shaft could slide easier. It was just a big blod blocking the whole passage, not spread around the sides as one would expect. I thought that was causing some of the issue. So I cleaned the majority if it out and,spread some around the shaft. Still too dusty. I concluded that the vacuum just didn't have enough suction to keep up with the sander. I taped the hose from my shop vac to the unit and it worked great.The unit is a litttle heavy if woeking over head, but makes short work of the sanding. I would recommend but caution about the dust it is going to create.
