This replacement was awesome
The box it came in for starters was very durable and assured the glass did not break upon arrival. I watched the video which did the installment no justice. The person in the video seems to struggle and makes putting bio reader look difficult, it was so easy. I did not even need to remove the bio reader which sits inside the phone perfectly. The only thing I had to do that took a little time was removing the old adhesive which took a little alcohol and some elbow grease. Once it was clean I just carfuly placed the glass and made sure to firmly press it onto the device.

Saved my bacon when the OEM back broke
I bought this as a back up in case my S8 case backing broke while replacing the battery. Apparently, I didn't let the adhesive warm up enough and the OEM case broke spectacularly. Fortunately I had this replacement.Installation was fine, and I'm pleased with the results.Criticisms1. I was put off by the video link for installation. It worked fine and covered what I needed to know, but it wasn't produced by the manufacturer. They really should do their own.2. The finger print reader is not part of the install... I don't know why the review asks me to rate that.3. Is it really glass? It seems a bit like plastic, but I don't want to test to see if it cracks.Praises1. Looks nice2. Had all the adhesive bits needed. Including adhesive for the fingerprint reader I had to remove from the OEM back.3. Priced right4. Seems sturdy enough

Get one if you're replacing your S8 battery
I was replacing an aging OEM battery in my S8 so I bought this along with a new battery kit.The hardest part of replacing the battery is getting the old back off the phone. I purchased this spare back at the same time as the replacement battery, and it was worth it as the old back on my phone cracked as soon as I started trying to remove it. I heated the phone with a heat gun until the back of the phone was almost too hot to handle prior to trying to pry it off, but it still cracked immediately when trying to wedge a thin blade between the two pieces. Once the back was cracked I could stop being careful and just go at it, which made back removal quicker, but still annoyingly difficult. And the small shards of glass that are created when you crack the old back can fly, so where some safety glasses while removing the old back! I don't know why the back needs to be glass. My old Galaxy Prime had a plastic back that snapped on and made battery removal a breeze. I don't need a watertight phone; I don't take it swimming. :)You do need to use the heat gun to get the fingerprint sensor off the old back. Then attach its connector to the internal phone board and then lay the new back on top of it. Don't attach the sensor to the new back and then try to attach the new back to the phone while connecting the sensor to the phone board.Replacing the back is a bit disconcerting because it doesn't snap in place -- it just press-fits and sticks using the adhesive on the new back. I heated the new back and pressed it in place several times and it stuck without any issues. I had a black back and this back is more of a dark gray, but I have a case on the back of my phone so it's not really an issue.I highly recommend this replacement back if you are opening your phone -- unless you're really talented, you'll need it!

Replacing your Rear glass on a Samsung Android 8 Std
Replacement rear glass for a Samsung Android series 8 standard. This repair is generally a pain in the butt do to if you get carried away or slip with a tool on separating the glass from back you can 1. tear off the fingerprint harness or reader itself 2. shatter the glass and fling the pieces in your face. I do not recommend either one of those things to happen so make sure you have set aside some time to do this repair while not being in a hurry.First and foremost I used my phone 31 pc repair kit with all necessary picks and tools inside and a spool of extra phone adhesive to double up critical areas. The main tool I used for this repair is a simple 20 dollar heat gun. Warning you definitely do not want to cook your Phone and/or components so if it feels on the hot side when you are wearing nitrile gloves you are overheating it and need to set the heat aside. Mainly starting at a middle point with no buttons or anything in the way you heat up a area warm enough to get your slimmest pick started in between the glass and phone back while keeping in mind the glass is ROUNDED so it needs some finagling. Once you get that first pick in you can begin to start the process of continuing around the entire phone. taking care not to let the tools go far past the edge of glass. When I started to separate mine seeing as it was already cracked I inadvertently shattered some more or it while flex it open. Remember to take great care at the top because once the glass starts coming up you have to slide a tool in and disconnect a very small harness and fingerprint reader. My job was irritating as it came off in lots of pieces as opposed to be chunks or whole but aside from that it's pretty straightforward. I used my double sided sticky adhesive around sensitive areas to try and keep its water resistant build but I hear once its separated from its stock glass it loses it proof. So what can you do but try right? After that u fish the reader aligned proper thru new glass. Now take some time and carefully pull off the remaining paper on adhesive and start warming the adhesive for reattachment. You got 1 go at this so make sure EVERYTHING is aligned and checked. You will see after you have heated the glue and you press down the harness will reattach itself to the connection if done right. Be sure sure to press down on all seams and places u know where glue is. Definitely let the phone cool before turning it back on. Be sure to watch YouTube videos as well to get a visual demonstration on it as well. I ended up paying 14 bucks I think for OEM glass and 26 bucks for the phone kit so probably a little over 40 bucks spent and I was quoted 135 bucks and a days wait basically at the phone shop so it is definitely worth it to your pocketbook to DIY. Goodluck hope it helps

Cheap material
I had never installed one of these before but after carefuly watching and following videos on YouTube I got it! And then it cracked the next day lol so I ordered another one and installed it again and put my phone in the case lol but I feel like it's alot more fragile then the original so get yourself an otterbox or just try a different company 🤷♂️

Perfect fit! Great product
Good glass backing, looks like original samsung piece. Lots of glue that was very sticky. Phone should be waterproof again, but I won't test it!

Worth it
My phone broke and needed a new back panel so I ordered it from them and got it with in 5 days it came with a metal piece to help remove the broken one but you'd need a heat gun or hair dryer first to make it easier cause its glued with adhesive tape it looks like the orginal back panel and made out of glass if you know what your doing installing it is easy it already has adhesive on it but add some to make it stay on
