So far I’m pretty satisfied with this light. And unless it stops working sometime in the near future it does exactly what it supposed to and definitely provides enough light. So after installation I can say that I am very satisfied.The only downside I can see to this light is that there’s actually two mounting mechanisms in it. One is your average slide on over screw heads. The other is two very narrow channels (through-fixture) for a long thin screw to go all the way through the body and screw into the cabinet.I ended up having to use the slide-on mechanism only, simply because of local constraints when I was installing it.But to use the slide-on version you have to partially disassembled the fixture which isn’t terribly too hard except getting it back together once the fixture’s in place is very difficult because there’s lots of small wires inside the body that like to sneak out and interfere with clipping the panel back on.I recommend that you tape down the wiring inside the body after you take the underside panel off but before you mount the light.This will hopefully make a neater bundle and therefore be easier to reapply the panel with all the wiring inside.The installation would’ve been made easier if there had been three changes to this design.1. Instead of making the two channels for the screws so small I would’ve preferred them to be much much larger. Then I could’ve confidently attached the fixture with just the through-fixture holes. In reality these holes currently only allow about a 3/32 size screw through. I wish they were a lot bigger.2. Perforating the top fixture’s metal casing to create small wire clips that could’ve held in the entire wiring assembly neatly to help ease of installation.3. I wish this had come with a paper template for all the top mounting holes. If a long sheet of paper had been included that would’ve allowed me to tape it up to the cabinet and then pre-drill the holes that I needed then I could’ve used both attachment mechanisms at once and had a really good connection, with a real easy installation. As it stands if you’re just one person, you have to hold the fixture up while creating marks and or drilling pilot holes. A simple paper template would’ve allowed one person to easily perform a professional-looking installation.

Purchased these lights based on features an price. If built a twin shelf headboard and placed two 24 inch lights under their top shelf an hooked them up in tandem. The swivel feature along with the ability to change light temperature is outstanding. Everything I was looking for in under cabinet led lighting with plug in feature.Now isn't the downside. The first time using it I was happy with them lights. Everything worked as expected until I went today turn it off. I flipped there switch off an the lights continued to have a low glow almost like a night light. Figured it would eventually go off once residual power was used. It was glowing hours later. So I tried unplugging it from the outlet and the glowing stopped. I wrote to Parmida and they responded right away. According to their technical department, it has something to do with the linear setup and residual power in the loop. They were kind enough to offer me a refund, unfortunately it was installed in our vacation townhome in California and we have returned home to Hawaii so returning them is not possible. I wrote them to let them know it must have something to do with the switches. Its letting a trickle of power through even though the switch is in the off position. Proof of this is when I unplug the lights, the glowing stops and glows again when I plug it back in even though the switch on the light is off. This is consistent with the two lights i purchased.. If Parmida can solve this issue, this would be a five star product easily. I gave them tree stars becaue of the features and response time of customer service. Hope this helps in your decision to purchase this product or not.

I liked the light, but a hardwire installation was difficult. I called for support and that was useless, because the person knew nothing. They said to send my questions via email. I did that along with pictures. A week later I got a response saying that the light in the picture wasn't their light and they didn't answer any of my questions. The support people were too lazy to answer my questions and they didn't even recognize their own under cabinet light.I figured out how to do the installation on my own. These are the issues I had, which you may have as well.The wires coming out of the wall were 14 gage Romex wires. For 2 lights I had 6 wires to connect and 1 light had 3 wires. I believe the wires were daisy chained from one light to the next, until the last light which had just 3 wires.These were my questions that were never answered by their support people. And what I figured out on my own.1. Will 14 gage wire fit into the plastic connectors for the light. Answer: Yes.2. How do you get the wires out of the connector, because there doesn't seem to be a release. Answer: Pull hard.3. The plastic connects can handle 6 wires, but will six 14 gage wires fit through the round punch out? Answer: No.4. Can you use 2 punch outs & run 3 wires through each. Answer: No. The case doesn't have enough room to run 3 14 gage wires through a punch out that is not next to the connectors.Also with a 12 or 16 inch light there is no room for excess wire in the housing of the light. You need to cut the wire to the correct length or leave some excess behind the light.
