These are not greasy like a lot of other suppliers have. My 3 prefer these, as do I. Not messy & stinky.

I ordered these ears after reading the reviews, and decided to give them a try, even though I read about the grunge factor others referred to and showed pics of. Sure enough, the grunge was correct. I am not going to give this review 1 Star, though it deserves it. The reason is because I called Pawstruck's Rep and in no uncertain words told him this kind of grunge on anything is unacceptable, and for our furkids even more so...I said it represented the lack of care a company has for their customers and for representing themselves as a quality US company. He assured me they are working to improve their process, do a better job, etc. We scrubbed the grunge off each ear (25) with a brush and water, let them dry then wrapped each ear in Saran Wrap and froze them, which I'm sure diminished the natural flavor the ear would have had...but leaving the sticky grunge was not an option...it was even all over the bottom the box the loose ears came in. Our Samoyed chewed a few of them for a while, but it was a bust...you should not have to wash and scrub cow ears or any other natural treat. I am going to order these again and see if this company is true to their word and sends the ear with the cartilage...MINUS the grunge! I would love to support a USA Company and spread the word to all my canine loving friends and my County's "No Kill" Shelter, who our community supports big time; but good quality is a huge factor in what I will give to either my own dog or a shelter dog!UPDATE: 4/2/2016As I said in my post above, I would order one more time from this company and see if there was an improvement. THERE WAS A DEFINITE IMPROVEMENT!! The ears came with the cartilage just as before, which is great...but they were CLEAN...NO GRUNGE😀 I am extremely pleased about that and will place another order after finishing this update. Thanks Pawstruck for the improvement and keeping your word! I Have Changed My Rating To 5 Stars!

Nice price for good quality ears. Most of these are so big I can cut them in half to split between the Springer and the Stabyhoun because 1 would be too much. My 2 will chew a big ear until gone. Not vomiting or loose stools. Pawstruck makes and sources good products and I have ordered from them before and will order again. Especially the 50 ears box at this great price.

I ordered the 100 ct, which arrived with all of them just sitting in a cardboard box, not wrapped or anything. They stink a bit, especially after being delivered in the summer heat. I specifically picked these because they are one of very few options here on Amazon that are USA-sourced.It took a while, but one of two dogs actually began enjoying these, despite both of them loving cow ears in the past. The GSD only recently has been choosing them over his nylabone, and is now especially excited when they're "fresh" out of the box.Recently, he was only a little ways into chewing a new ear, and we see him standing up and pawing at his mouth. After we get him to stop, his breathing is very shallow, and it's clear he has some lodged in his throat. Thankfully it was still visible so we could finger sweep it out. He must have learned his lesson because he is tentative about chewing them now.PLEASE before you give this (or any destructible chew) to your dog, know that you will be around to keep an eye on them and EDUCATE YOURSELF FIRST on what to do if your dog chokes.

Update: these are now terrible and expensive. Not satisfaction guaranteed at all. I spent $300 on ears and they were horrible quality, super thin and hard. My dogs wouldn’t eat them. Contacted Pawstruck to send them back amd they provided a label to return only the unopened bags. Sent them back using their label and never received the refund. Disputed the charge on my credit card and they said I never returned them. So $300 down the drain from a long time previously satisfied customer. Will never buy from this company again. There are several other brands that are much better quality. Try Hotspot Pets and The Treat Shack for the good ears!Prior review:I’ve been giving cow ears to my Great Danes for 10 years and have bought about 12 different brands in that time. These ears the hands down the BEST.They are a nice size without being too big & chunky or tiny & useless. The box of 100 are fairly uniform in average size.The texture, color and smell is excellent: There’s no chemical smell or rotten stink. The texture is a nice crunchy baked ear with a slight toasted color on the edges - no weird rawhide texture that gets soggy. They are clean - no weird globs or chunks of “stuff” attached. So far I haven’t found any plastic ear tag remnants. These are all things I’ve experienced with other brands!My Great Danes love them - it’s their favorite treat every day. I love that it keeps their teeth clean, gums healthy and breath fresh.Will continue buying these as long as the quality stays consistent as described above!

I have one-year-old golden doodle that has a strong need to chew things. He's a gentle chewer, but needs something to chew other than my arms, right? When he was a puppy he would chew pig ears. Those soon where not good enough because, as he grew, he was taking care of the pig ear in 5 minutes. I needed something that lasted longer and was not as expensive as the chewing sticks I give him on weekends. The cow ears are perfect! He loves playing with them first and then he slowly chew on them. They last days! They don't have a strong smell, so they are fine inside the house. And last night I discover I can hide a treat in them for a bit of extra fun.
