I like the latch, but note that it takes a special tiny screwdriver and 1/16 drill bit to install.

If you need this for any kind of security then I couldn’t recommend it. I used them to hold a small piece of very thin wood over a access hole in a wall. For that these were exactly what I needed.

Product is light weight and feels like it’s made of Aluminum. The latch might be adequate for light duty applications. However, the supplied screws also appear be be make out of Aluminum and NONE OF THE SCREWS would screw into pine wood. They broke and then when I tried to remove the broken screws, they broke again. This happened 5 times. I suppose you could pre-drill a larger starter hole, but the screw threads are so small I doubt they would offer much security.

The material feels like aluminum. Thats not the draw back on this.The SCREWS ...the screw holes. Be warned these screws will break and this can not be used in ANYWHERE you need a sturdy latch.I would think this could be used inside on a cabinet but not many applications I could imagine this would not pull right out of the wood.

These are VERY cheap and come with the countersunk screws, so it's impossible for them to lay flat against the metal. Paint scratches off easily, and parts are missed entirely.I'm using them to be decorative, so they work, but over all, pretty poor quality over all

I needed this to childproof a side door and it works just like you think it would. I installed it high up on the door and haven’t had any issues with durability or use. Slides easily and installed even easier.

I bought these to install on the door of my trash can storage shed that I built. Unfortunately the screws are very tiny and get stripped easily -- 2 of the 6 for one latch didn't hold up well and I barely got them in before stripping them. Once installed, the latch also doesn't do a good job of securing the door. Maybe it was my mistake for ordering something that's too small, but I couldn't get it to hold it closed and the bolt would just slide out.
