These are a great size for my two year old and his little meaty hands. The parts are interchangable, so they mix then match them. The shapes on the back are just okay for identification, thus four stars. For example, the circles and ovals are not very different, because they are so small. So, even though my four year old can identify both circles and ovals (as not circles), on these, to her, both dinos have circles.

My 2 yr old loves these. The alligators have one capitol letter on the head piece then the bottom half has the lower case letter and the other side of the toy has another letter. That being the case, don’t expect 26 of the toys (26 pieces- head, tail each individual piece), but 13 (which is half of 26).The color dinosaurs are just 9 dinosaurs and 18 pieces total. They are very cute and my 2 yr old likes to piece different colors together.
