I have had this fishing rod for half a year and have used it many times. It sits in my car trunk and when I randomly want to go and fish, it is there and ready to go. Setting it up is nice and quick and I am ready to fish. One minor improvement that can be made is the telescopic setup of the rod feels weak when it is not pulled all the way and tight. The tip of the fishing rod can sometimes point in another direction slightly. This can be fixed by pulling it a little tighter. Overall, the fishing rod is a good product to keep in the car when an urge to fish around the lake or pond comes.

My son has been using this pole like crazy and we haven't had a single issue out of it. The only thing I wish was different is I wish it came with the line installed already. But that's only because I don't know how to put the line in, so that obviously isn't a problem for people that know how. It fits perfectly in the back of our car because of the telescoping feature. The largest fish he has caught was a large mouth bass and the pole did just fine with it.

This is rubbish, it has a bad glue on the rings of the rod, I used it 2 days and they came off, the rope gets tangled,Rings deviate , breaks easily, and the last rod at the tip bends and is difficult to bend back to its correct position and breaks easily The thing that goes on the handle of the cane, the thing with which you bring the rope I left it super tight so that it would not fall and end up falling, I never found it, I bought one from my brother and exactly the same thing happened that I explain in this whole opinion

My husband's gift for our 6 year anniversary and he says hands down this is his favorite pole. Not only is it retractable but it casts like butter. He has been to cabelas and bi mart and says he will never purchase another pole besides this one. We are currently ordering our 2 sons the same poles.

Good starter kit, the price is cheap and It is convenient, I have casted relatively heavy lure 0.5 oz and it handles it.I really like the rod, except I would loctite the cap that threads on the bottom that holds the sections from coming out. Mine got lost quickly.I think it is ok but I didn't want to use the line nor the lures that come with it, they seem fairly low quality and a bit large. They don't come with a lure case and the box takes up serious amount of space.The reel is ok, the drag works, I put my own fluorocarbon line, but it seems often the line often go behind the reel into the gear which makes a mess. It could be that I put slightly too much line, but it was not worth the time dealing with the knots or losing of lines.So I like the rod quite a bit, but I will just get another similar telescoping rod and another reel. Since I won't be using the lures this was a better use of money.

I bought this for my son to take on a week long fishing trip. I originally made this purchase to have some spare rod and reels for when the inevitable happened. However, my son loved this so much he used it most of the trip! He even used it more than his more expensive sets.
