I have the original game from the 1980s. We still play it at home and love it. But after decades of playing the same questions, we wanted to spice up our gameplay. After scanning the card sets out there, it made the most sense to buy the new version of the game, board and all. I'm so glad we did. The new version is colorful and vibrant. They replaced the old brown (literature) with purple and the design POPS! The wedges now have height to them and go into the game pieces more easily. The updated questions are challenging and fun. I like the fact that some of the questions are visual (with pictures on the card that you have to identify). And some answers include a sentence of trivia to explain a bit further. The new game comes with a timer (which we didn't use and which I think is an unnecessary addition). Otherwise, I'm completely happy with this purchase. Updated questions, turbo-charged design, still thoroughly enjoyable!

Game came in in excellent condition. We have been on the hunt for a game with "new" questions, and many of the newer versions are a bit gimmicky. So we tired this one, because it looked like it could be a recent edition. When the game arrived, the copywrite date was 2009. Still, we are enjoying it!

I love this game back in the 1980s and 90s. However trying to play my original Trivial Pursuit game from that time frame doesn't work very well. The questions are very outdated on the old version, which is why I ordered this new version. The questions are perfect. My 14 and 17 year old kids had a blast, although we do typically play the shorter version where you get a wedge for any questions answered correctly, not just on the wedge space. I gave four stars on good for traveling because it is a large item with small pieces oh, so you would not be able to play this on the plane or somewhere that you did not have a fairly large table space to put the board on. Overall a great game, educational and fun for kids even as young as 14.

Added to our Family game night rotation. Play with my teens. They enjoy it and also learn while playing. Would recommend if you enjoy challenging and not so mainstream trivia.

I got this for my grandparents for christmas. we always play the traditional trivial pursuit together and have lots of fun, but my boyfriend and i have a hard time with some of the questions as they are before our time, so i got this for my grandparents so we could play together & it is perfect! we play this new one every time and it has both newer and older questions so it isn’t unfair in either way! i still lose to my grandparents with this newer edition lol

After reluctantly ordering this game because of suggestions by friends and family, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. Will definitely order some more board games from Amazon in the future!

So, during this pandemic, we've taken to playing more board games. My daughter and I have spent hours with the original trivial pursuit game but the difficulty level is a little high and certainly dated with the questions concerning people and things from long before my daughter was born. Some are things she does or should know, but often they are things about movies or actors or characters she has simply never heard of. I'VE never heard of some of them. Sure, we know some baseball greats, but not necessarily all of them from before 1960! So, in an attempt to have something better suited to us, we bought this version. Still some things we don't know, but a lot of those are memory or knowledge gaps. The entertainment color is one she deliberately seeks out now (I avoid!) This version suits us better. Wish there were more cards for it though. I've gone through all of the green questions, so any I didn't know, I now do.....
