Off to School!: A Sweet Back to School Adventure with Elmo and Anxiety Relief Book for Toddlers & Kids for First Day Jitters (Sesame Street Scribbles)

My daughter LOVES this book. It's one of her favorite ones as we prepared to put her into preschool. We would talk about it leading up to her first day and this book helped give her the positive outlook on her school experience. I also really love it because when reading it out loud to your kiddo they have to respond and help Elmo i.e.: rub his tummy because he had butterflies in his tummy from not being so sure about going back to school.If anyone is looking for a good book with very animated illustrations of Elmo for kids returning to school for the first time, this is a winner.

Sweet book about back to school jitters. Appropriate for pre school k-3rd graders.

The kids love these books. The story the pictures are short and sweet just long enough to keep their attention until the end.

This calmed my son's nerves about going to school. It is interactive and the message is sweet.

Our daughter loves Elmo! So this is a good book!

I purchased this book with the hopes that it would help my son learn more about what to expect from preschool and get excited about it. There are only two pages with no words (only 4 images) that show Elmo actually at preschool. The entire book is about being nervous for school, having butterflies, being reassured that his mom will come back, etc. My son had zero anxiety about starting preschool but after reading this, started wanting to pretend play about being worried and leaving/separation anxiety scenarios, etc. This book is probably great for kids who are anxious about school to identify their feelings but it definitely wasn’t what I was expecting.
