My cats need grain free food and those food is perfect. It is affordable and the cats love the taste. The aren't any bad ingredients, making it a healthy choice for the cats. The bite size pieces make these easy for the cats to chew and digest well. This is a largge size bag of food for a great price. Last a long time. But also stays fresh.

Cat's love it better than other brands

I've been trying to find cat food that is higher quality, as my cat gets older and I get more savvy about how important their nutrition is... Unfortunately, I have possibly the most picky cat on the planet!! I have wasted countless dollars on high quality, high dollar food. My cat takes one sniff, turns his nose up and walks away!! Purina Beyond is a more middle of the road price-point. It has a solid reputation and the ingredient list is reasonably good. I asked my vet what he thought of the brand and he said it was quite good, especially for the price. He also said that it doesn't really matter how 'good' the high end foods are, if my cat won't eat them!! I bought a bag of Purina Beyond Chicken with my fingers securely crossed!! YAYAYAYAY!!! He absolutely LOVES it. He seems to have no sensitivity to it either... So I though I would give this other flavor a try, to mix things up... YAYAYAY!! He loves this too!! In fact I think he might like this one even more!! So I usually give him a mix of the 2...

Amazing! Has helped my cats greatly! I have 4 cats. 1 has, in last year (and we got her 1 1/2 years ago) been scratching herself like crazy. To the point of drawing blood. I finally figured it wasn't seasonal allergies, and as they are all I door cats, it wasn't fleas. Plus other 3 cats didn't experience it. I thought maybe dry skin. So. I decided to change the litter to a non clay (stay with me, trust me :) ). While looking for a new litter, this cat food was listed under the frequently purchased with. And so I clicked on it. And the emphasis on grain free, etc, got me curious. So after a little research, I learned that cats have a difficult time digesting grain, assuming they can. So. I order a bag. Because the other 3 cats were kitties who had tummy troubles a bit more than they (or any human) should. After a week on this food? No more throw ups! No diarrhea. And, for Ly Love? Her scratching decreased greatly. In fact, my adult son neglected to tell me we were almost out, so I didn't order a new bag until they had one bowl left. We still had the old "buy in grocery store" dry food left, so they got that. And darned if not only the throwing up start back up, but Lily Loves scratching is back. So I made my son throw the other stuff away, and put Purina Beyond Grain Free in their bowl. Looking forward to a day or two, when their tummy troubles clear up, and little Lily Love stops scratching so much. I strongly recommend this. My only complaint is the price. After years of paying around $12 for $18 pounds, to now pay double for less, 1/3 less at that, is hard, especially on my fixed Social Security Disability benefit. But the cats are more than worth it, and except for Whiskerz, are eating less.

This is the best cat food I can find for my kitty with allergies (without having to get the expensive medical cat food from the vet). He gets sick a lot less since we switched to this food. All 3 of my cats seem to like the taste. I just wish it was cheaper.

I was feeding my cats Science Diet for a while, thinking it was good for them, but they seemed to be vomiting a lot more than cats should, I mean like almost everyday I was cleaning up cat vomit between two cats. So, I began the hunt for a new food. I was told Blue Buffalo was a good brand of quality food, but my cats would not touch it. They ended up losing weight while I had them on the Blue Buffalo, simply because they would not eat enough of it. I tried some other quality foods I found at the pet store in the natural foods department, but my cats wouldn't eat that stuff. One day at the grocery store, I just wanted to get something, anything, for my hungry kitties, and I found the Purina Beyond brand, which seemed a better quality than typical grocery store cat food. I bought the Purina Beyond Chicken flavor and my kitties gobbled it up so quick; they loved it! BUT it sure made them so stinky, I couldn't stand it. I liked that they liked it and the convenience of not having to go to a specialty store, so I decided to try a different flavor/protein content (can't remember which one it was), and I saw some improvement, but not enough. Then I tried this grain free version since I read that cats don't really digest grain well (they are carnivores, afterall), and finally found a food that they like that doesn't make them stinky or vomit-y. It's convenient that I can pick it up at the grocery store if I happen to run out, though I prefer the convenience of ordering on Amazon. It's also a much better value to purchase the bigger size (though I recommend picking up a small bag to try it out first). My kitty is nice and plump and happy, my house doesn't have cat vomit all over the carpet, and the litter box doesn't smell like anything. I finally found a winner. Another thing I like, and I don't know if it's just my kitties that did this, but they always made such a mess with the Science Diet. They would crunch through the giant pieces, then they wouldn't eat the little pieces that broke off. I was always stepping on the crumbs and the bottom of their food dish would be full of crumbs that I had to throw out because they wouldn't eat them. With this Purina Beyond, the pieces are smaller than the Science Diet, so they eat the whole thing. The Blue Buffalo had tinier pieces, but my kitties would dig through the bowl and it would spill all over the floor (probably because they didn't like it). But if this kind spills, they eat it up. So, this cat food ends up being less messy in that way, too. Who knew that all my little complaints about having cats (stepping on cat food crumbs, stinky litter box, cleaning up vomit everyday) was directly related to the food I was feeding them. Now that I don't have those issues anymore, having a cat is even more enjoyable. Side note: brush kitty's hair regularly to get the loose hairs off him so he doesn't get any in his tummy when he grooms himself and you won't have to worry about hairballs anymore, either.
