These HP air cleaners are great. I am fully happy with them. They work as advertised.
My wide suffers with allergies which are aggravated in the winter when we have to keep the house closed up. These HP HEPA air filters enable her to avoid taking allergy pills. The HPA060 is great for smaller rooms. We also have an HPA200 and an HPA300. We keep them positioned in different room around the house. We have three cats, and they mean the world to us. With these filters my wife is able to breath normally, even when the cats are around and active. Can go about a year on the HEPA filter. The charcoal filter will stop neutralizing orders after a few months, but it still works well as a pre-filter for particulate. We vacuum it off once in a while to extend the pre-filter life. Filters are not that expensive, after market filters are available too. Operating cost is low. Noise levels are tolerable. They are pretty quiet, with multiple speed settings when cleaning is more important than quiet. We are finding we do not have to run them constantly. They clean the air of both particulate and orders very effectively. When the sun is coming in just right and you can see all the particles in the air, turn this on and you can watch the particles get sucked in and the air clears up in minutes. My adult son's room used to smell pretty bad. Now, with the HPA60 running in there a few hours once in a while, there is no odor in there.

Quiet and reliable.
Our HW -HPA-060 machine has been in service for 18 months running 7/24.No problems, quiet, easy to change filters. We also have the larger HPA-300 running in our basement. We can cut down 1 ea, 300 prefilter, and get 5 060 prefilters. A money saving hint. With 2 cats and a carpeted home we change all pre-filtets every 60 days.

Very effective small allergen reducer/air cleaning for a bedroom
This is great little true HEPA air cleaner. It will sit nicely on a nightstand and looks modern. The packaging was excellent and it says it is Energy Star compliant.ME:- Light sleeper- Sleep apnea- PTSD (combat vet)- Severe allergies (I get weekly shots)- Owner of two cats that sleep on the bedLIKES:- It works. The air in my bedroom smells cleaner- On "high" it literally pushes a lot of air...I mean a lot- True HEPA paper filter and prefilter foam- Indicator lights to detect when to change both filters- Effective even on "low"NOT SO GOOD:- Wish I could leave it on "high" at night...but it is too loud (sounds like a small vacuum cleaner)- Woke me up one night...strange up/down fan sounds (I am an extreme light sleeper)- Have to run it on low at night and still have to have my other fan on to sleep.- Don't think it will work very well on rooms larger than a master bedroomOVERALL:- Does the job and cleans the air of pollutants to include smoke, pet dander, allergens, and funky smells. I need "white" noise while sleeping, but this machine is actually too aggressive sounding when on "medium" or "high" setting. Other than that...great product/price

Drastically reduce the use of Claritin. It,s not quiet and its filter sensor is pretty useless
I had the unit for three months and so far it works.ProsUnlike my other older Honeywell, it,s packaged styro free...thank you Honeywell. It, s no frill basic model at half the cost of the larger and more complex electronic model. I prefer it this way as I don,t need useless blinking led, alarms, whistle, bells and AI fuzz logic tech junk nonsense...especially at twice the cost.Like many in desert southern California, I have awful allergy where I sneeze, tear, runny and annoys everyone around me.I had to take Claritin so I can save my nasal. Not anymore. Just make sure you don,t smell the flowers and please keep all the windows closed!I can now smell better and don,t wake up with dry mouth because my nasals were clogged and swollen.I have less problem sleeping now.ConsIt,s by no mean quite... I had hard time sleeping with the device on, even on quietest setting. To me, even On the lowest fan setting it sounds like revving jet getting ready to take off...'course not as loud (not even close) but it def sounds very very similar...to me.Also, the check filter button is kind of useless on my unit....After three months, I check the prefilter analog when the unit started to make odd noise. I found the filter was beyond capacity, fully covered in grey white dust....During this time, at no point I got a warning light, bell or whistle or a led light show from a check pre filter light button, not even when I set it or pressed it to check time to time..... no nothing. As long as you don,t need it on your sleeping hours, I you might give this air cleaner a chance. I just bought another one...the old Honeywell,s going into my garage.Update: 4/4/2014The filter sensor on my second unit failed also. It doesn't,t do a thing. My prefilter again was fully covered in white grey dust but nada from the clever sensor...It,s best to just visually check the back of the unit once a month to see the dust build up on your prefilter.update 5.01.2015the unit #1 s prefilter sensor finally lit up, after what seems like months of usage...so its not completely useess it seems. the other three units prefilter sensor still is not responding. i have four of these suckers. i change the filters before it gets that filthy i guess.i edited my review since atleast one of my four units sensor seems to somewhat work.
