Q: Will this work in Ireland?

The units require sunlight not necessarily bright sunshine so I see no reason whatsoever why it shouldn’t work anywhere. Perhaps not Norway in the winter!

Q: Can you connect a 1000w inverter to it

Hi Tim. Yes, a 1000W inverter be that a car inverter, modified sine or pure sine wave inverter will work. These are 120w Panels, delivering 1kwh within a day of which only about 5 hrs are calculated full power. So at maximum you have 240 Watts available within that window. If you add batteries as buffer it is down to the battery what capacity is available. The inverter itself could handle 1000w directly, so the real available maximum power of 240w max from the panels are no problem. If you need a real full kilowatt, you need more panels and a battery buffer to actually get 1000w for your application intended. I am working with 7 panels each 120w and a battery buffer of 320ah = ca 1700watts/1hr of agm batteries. With this I can pull about 500w -600w per hour on a sunny day. Why not more? Every panel has a realistic output of approx 100w, every cable connector etc reduces efficiency and of course the situation of the panels aiming at the sun also has a huge effect. After calculating all possible tolerances I do about 500-600. And: the maximum performance of any Solar panel is around 4-5 hrs over midday. As soon as the sun leaves the ideal position the panels will of course loose efficiency. This you can only correct with an automatic tracking system. Is a nice set, but you will probably upgrade soon. Good luck, solar is great!

hello dear client, it depends on the power of your appliance. This kit can generate about 1000Wh per day under 4 hours' sunlight, so if your appliance is 100W 12v, then this kit can charge it for about 10 hours.
