First impressions, and after a year
Just received the X30 with starter kit and these are my first impressions. The first question everyone has is how much gear will it hold, we don't buy lenses in liters. I have not filled the cube up yet, pictured is a EF 70-200 f4 LII with an RF to EF adapter, RF 24-105 F4 L, RF 16mm STM, RF 35mm STM and a RF 50mm STM. I have to dig around for my 2X teleconverter that will join the bag. I usually care my camera with a 100-500 mounted looking for wildlife and switch to a prime for landscape as needed. I do not shoot the 70-200 as much as I used to and it may be leaving the kit which would leave me plenty or room for a second body with the 50mm at the side door for a quick grab. I did place my Canon R5 without a battery grip into the cube and it fit fine height wise, not so sure it would if you had the battery grip on. I also tried the R5 with the 100-500 mounted and the hood reversed and found it too tight vertically. I also tried across to make it accessible from the side and it was difficult to get in because of the frame and then also too tight. The X50 or X70 might work better for that setup. This already feels like an upgrade over the Lowepro Flipside Trek 350 I had before. The pack loaded up nice, a place for everything. One thing Shimoda does not list but mentions in one in their videos is the aluminum stays (frame). This really helps drive the load into the hip belt making for a better riding pack that can take more load comfortably. After loading it up I played chase with the dog and the pack stayed nicely in place with no unsettling shift or crunching sounds. The frame might have interfered with loading the R5 with a Zoom but I would rather have the benefits of the frame. I do wish it came with more dividers. Can't wait to take it out for a "Test Drive".UPDATER AFTER A YEAR:The frame in the pack makes caring heavy loads and long days easy on the back. This alone makes this pack above most anything else on the market. I have since added a Shimoda Top Loader to the hip belt. I also added a Canon R7 that now is usually setup with the 100-500 in the Top Loader with the R5 on a shoulder strap. I find this worked well over a long weekend in Yosemity NP. I find I am using my peak design capture less as the pack and Top Loader make caring my gear so much more comfortable. The extra straps they sell for this pack did not work well in retaining the Top Loader in position on the pack hip belt as they suggest. A cheap small carabiner works much better. I will keep this at a fire star and would purchase again. If you are outdoors with your gear, I recommend you get one of these.

Punches all the tickets.
Extremely comfortable. I chose this for the bag's ability to expand for extra food/gear/clothes while out and about. This was one of the best options.

Outdoorsy Bag for Content Creators
As someone who loves hiking, I was on the hunt for a camera bag that could fit and protect gear, but also have room for hiking clothes and essentials. This bag has so far lived up to my expectations and also looks great. The color also lends itself well for the outdoors.Lots of compartments, pockets to hold tech essentials. Able to place a peak design capture clip on the strap which is really handy.Latest 16” MacBook Pro (m1 max version) also fits in laptop pocket. Any bigger and likely would not. Construction is also very very good.Loving the bag so far and highly recommend!

Increible Back Pack
