I am totally blown away by how pleased I am with this purchase! I have had lots of experience with buying/ordering flameless candles over the past few years and have been impressed at times, and at times quite disappointed. I did a lot of research online before I purchased these because flameless candles by nature tend to be hit or miss. I also hesitated to order these because the price was so low.....Under $30 for a set of 5, including a remote! The first time I saw a flameless flickering candle in a hotel lobby this past summer I was really impressed by how real the flame looked! Based on the information I read, they have been around longer in the UK than they have been here. I am so glad I did the research I did......It totally paid off! Box arrived this morning and I could not believe how perfectly packaged they were. Well protected and really well-designed box interior with custom-cut unit protectors. They each take 2 AA batteries, which easily slide in. Much to my surprise, all 5 candles worked! The remote is no bigger than a credit card and comes stocked with a watch battery. The remote works beautifully and enables the timers, power, and adjustment of candle brightness among other goodies. As some of the reviews I read when researching this type of candle mentioned, the farther away you are from them the more real they look. Would NOT recommend for the table of a candle-light dinner or even on a cocktail table that is really close to sofas and chairs.....Although the "fake" flame looks incredibly real from a distance of about 6 feet or more, it is REALLY obvious that the candle is not real when you are super close to it. The artificial flame is like a moving metal tab, so if you are holding the candle or are very close to it it's very obvious that it is not a genuine candle wick. If you want some real atmosphere, especially on your mantle or on a wall shelf, I would highly recommend these! In addition to looking totally real, the amount of flickering light they throw onto the ceiling is gorgeous! What's nice about the remote control is that you can dim them if the flickering is too much for the room. Would highly recommend these to those who love to fill the room with the great atmosphere of flickering candles!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! looks so much like real candle lights I repeatedly mistaken it every time i look at it. every candle has a flickering reflector piece in the middle which mimics flame, looks beautiful and extremely realistic.there are options to make the light flicker (looks like candles in the wind) or to keep it consistently lite, to each of its own they all looked great! there are also timers and on off switches. Although the remote controls all lights at once, there is an on/off button at the bottom of each candle if you don't want all of them to light at up the same time.amazing set! very beautiful. my only complaint is that it doesn't come with batteries so you will need 10 AA size batteries. The batteries do last a long time... i've yet have to replace batteries after 8 hours of light.

These candles are so cool. From 5-10 feet away they look absolutely real. They last a long time on one set of batteries. I use them on a bookshelf, one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon.A few weeks after I ordered them, one of the candles stopped turning on with the remote. If I manually flipped the power switch off and on, all of a sudden it would start responding to the remote. But the next day, the problem reoccurred. I sent an email to Vinkor through Amazon asking about the issue. They never responded but a few days later, a complete new set of 5 candles arrived in the mail. So Vinkor is a stand up company and did the right thing, so they definitely deserve a 5 star review. I guess these are cheaper copies of a higher end LED candle that is available in retail stores. But you get 5 candles for less than the price of 1 of the expensive LED candles. So overall, I think they're an excellent value. You won't be disappointed.

LOVE THEM. We bought these in November 2017 after looking at a few consumer reports things. No regrets whatsoever. I looked at Luminaras on QVC in Nov for a price of $122 for a set of 3! They looked so pretty and festive...But, I realized I could buy 4 SETS of these, with an extended 4 yr warranty for $2.77 per set. I figured, try one and see how it goes at this price. It's wax, with an LED, how different can the engineering really be and if it burns out, replace it. Well, MUCH to our skeptical surprise, we love them. Now, when I look at so many of the terrible customer reviews for the QVC Luminara holiday sets of 3, for $122 that I was strongly considering, with 2-3 stars, OMG...I am so happy I got these! In fact, I just bought two more, chunkier ones, the six inch 3.25 ones to go in a decorative lantern on the patio, and a candle pedestal in another room. We have this set in the living room on two 10 inch candle pedestals and two 4 inch pedestals and a hurricane lamp in the middle with season stuff in it which we change throughout the year. The flicker type is adjustable and VERY soft and has a very realistic flicker factor...much better than we really expected. I would highly recommend. Only thing was they were slightly slimmer than I would prefer however, when placed together it works very well. Would also work in a fireplace candelabra type thing off season or outdoor. Using the same original batteries since we got them in November and its now late March, so if you like soft lighting to relax, this is it. Cannot beat the price either. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, particularly for this price point. Fantastic. Saw a few reviews that had defective remotes or something, but for 2.77 you can add a 4 yr warranty to the set. STILL a bargain.
