A nice set of tools. Quality is better than expected for the price. I’m using for hobby use, not lab or field work, but I’d expect they’d be fine for those uses too. It would be nice if there was a pocket or other storage for the spare blades so they didn’t get in the way when pulling out the various tools, but tucking them under the less used ones works well enough, and otherwise no complaints at all.

There were a few other less expensive options that I was considering but I figured I would purchase this one since it came with the most spare blades and tools. The only tool that is quite unnecessary is the magnifying glass, not because a magnifying glass wouldn't be useful, however this one is pretty embarrassing quality, as if it was thrown into the set as a last minute detail.

My daughter is a pre-med major and this was needed for her Anatomy class. This dissection kit came with everything that the professor requested. All the implements were made of quality surgical stainless steel. The price was right and the product arrived two days after placing the order. How did we survive before Amazon?!?! 😂

Wow!, I wish I had access to a product like this when I was pursuing my Allied Health degree. I bought this for my daughter who is an aspiring nurse. It comes in a high quality and velvet-lined case that neatly organizes all the dissection instruments. The instruments, save for the magnifying glass, are made of high quality stainless steel and can be safely cleaned/sterilized in chemical soak or autoclave. It also comes with oodles of spare surgical blades. This is a great value for the money and I highly recommend it.

I only wish that there had been a document included that described how to properly use each individual tool in the kit.

I enjoy the scalpel kit but the #3 scalpel did take some grinding to even out the slot that the blade fit down for the blade to fid properly. I was able to make the adjustment by eye with a Dremel and it works well since. I enjoy the case and the other instruments are well made as best I can tell. I am more of a hobbyist and have not used the set for much. I got a second one because my original kit was stolen. I am very pleased with the second kit I received Dec-2020. It has no issue with the slits down the sides of the scalpel that hold the blades. I had no issue putting either the larger or smaller blades in either the #3 or #4 scalpels. I am happy with the quality of this kit and it will do well for my hobbies.

As a Mycologist that studies the many benefits of mushrooms, these tools are great. They can go into an Autoclave or Ultrasonic cleaner and you can be sure of 100% sterilized tools. I have never come across such quality for a price like these. Comes in a padded case with bands that hold it all secure. You don't need to be a scientist to use these. They are a must for a first aid kit. Sturdy, great quality, and could save someone's life in an emergency.

I'm very happy about this dissection kit. I didn't buy it for dissecting, but rather for making. We do a lot of art and crafting using small, detailed items. We find that our fingers lose track and get in the way, and have been looking for some tools that are good for positioning and holding small items, and that also allow us to see what we're working on. This kit is very versatile, and has several tools that allow us to do just that. It's a small but unique set of tools, and the packaging keeps them where they're supposed to be between uses.
