Initial impressions
I just started using these, so these are just my initial impressions so far.Good:* Decent quality light with a bit of a pink cast.* Advertised as not dimmable with a wall dimmer, yet a Lutron "DVCL-153P-WH" sort of works. It dims OK with white light but flickers a bit at lower settings. Some of the color modes repeatedly turn on/off even with the dimmer at full. I don't care about those modes. It'll work in a pinch, YMMV.Bad:* Light isn't tone matched with my other Cree "dumb" A19 bulbs* Be prepared to bend the mounting clips with a couple pairs of pliers if you have 5" cans. They simply wouldn't fit otherwise.* Advertised "follow the sun" mode has limitations. I can't yet pin it to sunrise/sunset, I get an error message instead. It's also unclear if the lights are actually in that mode after making manual adjustments. I have to go a few levels deep in the app and toggle this mode off/on to ensure it's working. Cree/Tuya need to do some work to make this clearer.* Not bright enough to replace all my can lights. I wouldn't use these in a kitchen unless you have lots of cans there. Hopefully Cree will ship a ~1200lm variant in the near future.Tech info- subject to change:* These lights appear to be a rebranded Tuya product with perhaps only industrial design and LED chips from Cree. They use a Tuya WB3S-IPEX smart module and the app seems to be a Tuya Smart derivative.* Driver chips are from Bright Power and I can only find Chinese language datasheets. That makes me think Tuya rather than Cree designed the driver board as well.* There's 18 each of warm/cool LEDs and 5 each of R, G, and B. All are 2835 size.* Like most of these adjustable CCT fixtures, this lamp rapidly switches between full warm/full cool white LEDs. Mine switch at ~1.5 kHz which seems fast enough.* No PWM dimming, at least as far as I can tell with a camera. These lights keep the white LEDs fully on even when dim unlike competing products I've tried in the past. This eliminates the annoying high frequency strobe effect you get with some competing products. In fact, these are the first smart LED bulbs I've felt comfortable bringing into my home due to this.

Super easy to setup and have worked great for 3 weeks
Another reviewer had trouble connecting but on Android the app detected them all instantly. It synced to my wifi without any issues (it's not close to them) and the app has been suprisingly good. You can group them and control them together. It updated the firmware on them when they connected and it seems Cree is updating them pretty often which is a good sign to me.

Does not work as advertised, and Cree offers no Support
Just don't. Our new (to us) home has dozens of recessed lights and I bought one of these to compare to the Philips Wiz product (which unfortunately are present appears to be exclusive to a certain hardware store chain). I put one of each up in a room that has just two recessed lights. The Philips Wiz product does exactly what it says on the tin. It is a full color WiFi LED lamp that works exactly as expected with the Wiz app. This Cree product will turn on, and one can adjust the white light temperature with the Cree app. It can also be Red. Just bright Red. No blue, green, etc. Pick any color on the wheel and you get... Red.Of course I jiggled the handle. No amount of power cycling, resetting, deleting and re-adding made any difference. All I can get is Red.Cree has no troubleshooting tips online. No knowledge base. No user forum. No phone number. I sent an email - the only available support contact option. By the time I realized that they are never going to respond, the return window had closed. So just don't. No real trouble at all so far with Wiz, and I've started the larger deployment that I intended. Don't bother with Cree.

Lights are just ok, app is miserable
The lights do what they are supposed to do... sometimes. It took me over an hour to connect them to the app initially. Normally when I plug in a wi-fi device I see at least 5 different networks, this one had trouble seeing just mine then it wouldn't connect with differing reasons every time. Directions say to rename your 2.4 gig and 5 gig networks with different names, it only works on the 2.4. That meant I would have to change every wifi device I own. Was going to return them but gave it another try and on the second "last chance" they connected. Everything seemed to work so I set up a group to control the two lights in the room together. For almost an hour they worked flawlessly. I played with the colors and while not very bright I thought it might be fun for certain occasions. But then only one light worked in group mode but individually they were fine. Then one goes offline for a while and it tells me to check the network. Then they wouldn't change color, then neither worked in group mode. Deleted the group and rebuilt it and they worked again... for a day, same trouble only deleting didn't work, Neither worked at all in group but did on individual control. Had to re-add the lights, went easier this time and they worked in group again. Then I put them on blue the next day and they constantly "flicker", drop out for a blink and the brighter they are the worse it is. If I turn off the app in my phone they will stay at the last setting but go offline. And it sometimes takes quite a while for them to re-sync, it tells me the network is unavailable or is weak, even told me that my phone wasn't connected to the network, which I'm completely certain it was. If I turn off the app on my phone none of the timing features seem to work either. I had hoped to be able to set a program to control them if I was out of town, but if the phone isn't in the room with them, forget it, they go offline. I'm fighting them constantly and have decided to only use the app to dim and change the "warmth" occasionally. Between the lights losing the network (which I've used with other devices outside the house before at much further distances with no problems) and the app not doing what it should they are very frustrating. A neat idea not executed very well in my opinion.Update: Bought these in June of 2021 and still have issues, updates in the app seemed to have helped some, although one update deleted all my devices from the siri shortcuts I built and had to rebuild them all. Called the company a month or two after purchasing and after weeks of trying I finally got someone to answer. Told her my issues and what I'd done and added that no matter where I put it it's the same light that goes offline. Was told that I had tried everything that was in their troubleshooting and an engineer would be calling me. Never happened.
