Great for getting rid of Asian Leeches!
I rarely leave reviews, but I am so excited these are working. I bought them a few months ago but didn't catch anything. Now I realize I wasn't using the right bait. Since I'm still finding leeches (even babies!) when I vacuum the substrate, today I tried again with new bait - Hikari freeze-dried brine shrimp - and caught 6 leeches in 5 hours! Pics attached.*The traps are fragile so I ended up ordering more after I broke one in the sink. But they're so inexpensive it's not a biggie.

Trap is too big for my aquarium. Will return for smaller versions.
The size is the only issue I have at the moment. I didn’t want to even put this in my tank because o will return for some smaller versions. I have very few snail leeches that I’m trying to catch. So far I’m suctioning them out about 3-4 a week. I have not seen any in days so I may have already eradicated the problem. My danio & tetra fish help with most unwanted creatures.

Just ok
Did catch some planaria but this will not get rid of it completely

Just use it correctly!
I have a 6.5 gal tank stocked with high grade crystal red shrimp. I noticed some shrimplets (yay!) about a month ago & then a week later I couldn’t find a single one..(not yay) I couldn’t understand what the problem was, it’s a very well established tank, I use RODI water, my parameters were literally spot on every time I checked.. where did they go?! Well… Admittedly, I knew I had an aquarium leech infestation, but anything I could dose to kill them (they are resilient little guys) would also more than likely kill my shrimp, so I left them alone. Turns out they prey on shrimplets and also sometimes adults? I have seen them eating an adult but at the time I just assumed it died of old age or whatever and they were just disposing of the waste for me.. but now I wonder if they killed that shrimp.. and therefore also ate my babies:( so while I’m cycling a totally new tank I needed a solution that wouldn’t kill my shrimp. I researched these and read a ton of mixed reviews. I figured it’s worth a try seeing as just one of my shrimp is double what this costs lol. I got it, cleaned it, threw it in, by the morning.. nothin. Then I thought.. wait this is like setting a trap with no bait? So I tried a little chunk of frozen bloodworms I had on hand, caught one by the next morning. THEN the next day I cleaned it out and sprinkled some fluval bug bites in there submerged it (don’t forget to let the air out of the cap piece before putting it on the trap. The next morning, I kid you not, I had at least 15 of those suckers (pun intended lol) in there. These things definitely work if you use them correctly. Hopefully I can get enough removed that my shrimp remain safe until their new tank is mature enough.

Bristle worms
Works for very small worms , definitely keeps starfish, snails and star fish out . Holes are pretty small may update review at a later date.

Works
I baited mine with frozen bloodworms, it didn’t take two hours like advertised. I left it in there over night because the pests are more active with the light off. When the tank light came on in the morning I realized the worm problem was worse than I thought. Trap had a whole bunch in there and a lot more crawling on the outside. Yuck. I put it back in again in the same spot with the same bait and the second time it started working much faster. My betta’s been pushing the tube trying to get the bloodworms but I didn’t have any shrimp make it in but it’s obvious they’re really interested in it as well so I’ll be keeping an eye on them. Would recommend for shrimp tanks with snails.

Odd package filler
Not so sure a Kidde smoke detector battery is a proper for packing. More bubble wrap probably would've worked just fine lol, but hey.... thanks for the 9v battery.
