Great, Strong and Sturdy. Quality parts. Handles DSLR's very well.

This is a tripod meant for small offsets from a desk or table or something along the lines of you needing it to be about the same level as the surface.Pros: As far as the adjustments go you have roughly 4 inches, 8 inches and 12 inches from the surface. I played with this and it is a very sturdy tripod made with strong metal pieces. I do not believe it will break. The Adjustments for the legs look a little funny, but they are simple and easy to use, you just pull them out and adjust the leg and push them back in. I am using a DSLR which is about 5 pounds, and the weight does not affect the tripod AT ALL. It is very sturdy, very good construction. Glad I went for this one. You can easily adjust for different devices when mounting because of the two washer/plates which you can change to make it a snug connection to the device. The rubber pads on the bottom spread out for the lowest tripod setting so the tripods legs are all basically touching the table. Very nifty feature for shots very very low on a table. If you were recording your actions on a desk or something along those lines.Cons: When I first got it, I was not not sure if my camera would fit because of the way the screw on top looked, but it is a standard camera screw, which is 1/4 inch. Either way it fits my dslrs and my webcam. Other than the initial shock that it might not work for my camera, that is it.Overall: This is a great small desktop or mini tripod mount. It fits all of my cameras, it is very sturdy and a great price. I went after this design because I bought an 7 foot tripod for other videos (with a similar design) and I enjoyed the aluminum construction for its durability and hopefully long life. I am very happy with it. If you adjust the screw you can easily adjust the angle of the camera - would be cool of they made an attachment plate between the screw and the camera with a handle so you could freely move it, but its not necessary.Would buy again, but I doubt I will ever need to. Glad I found this product and took a chance on it because it had no reviews.

Great for bench top or prone use with a spotting scope, compared to Vanguard VS-82

I was looking for a bench top and prone tripod for my 4 pound 11 ounce Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 20-60x80mm spotting scope without breaking the bank. Many recommend the Vanguard VS-82, but I was concerned that model wouldn’t go low enough for my needs. I ordered both and compared, the VS-82 is going back. The Bestshoot tripod is all metal construction, making it very stable under my 4 pound 11 ounce scope. The legs have metal tabs that engage against metal lugs for height adjustment. At the lowest setting the legs cover an 18” circle, as the middle position 16” circle, at the highest position 9” circle. There are three fixed height settings; 9.4”, 6.75”, and 3.9”. I wouldn’t trust it at the highest setting with my spotting scope, but it would be fine with my DSLR. The ball head is less than ideal for spotting scope use, but it actually feels pretty solid. It holds my scope steady without having to crank it down, my only potential concern with this tripod is the durability of the ball head over time if it loosens up. The articulating rubber feet work well, and there are three spares in the box. This tripod also shipped in a decent fabric bag, but I’m never going to use it. I would rate this 4.5 stars if I could only because of my concern for ball head durability, but compared to the competition it gets a 5.The VS-82 feels like a kids toy by comparison. The plastic center frame flexes under my scope, flimsy is how I’d describe it. With the legs collapsed they cover a 12” circle, with the legs extended a 15” circle. The height with the center post maxed out and the legs extended is 10.25”, with the legs collapsed and the center post down the height is 7.4”. The two axis head is more appropriate for tripod use, but it’s plastic and doesn’t inspire confidence. Like other reviews noted, the rubber feet are misaligned some they don’t sit flat on the table. I would rate this as a 2-3 star product.

Excellent low-profile tripod

I've been using this tripod as a desk support for a ring light, and it's worked great. The light is very lightweight, but the construction of this tripod makes it clear it could handle a DSLR camera with ease. The legs are also geared to allow for an extremely wide spread, giving great stability with a very low profile. My one complaint, if I had one, would be that the settings for leg spread angles are limited based on fairly large ratchet points. However, the benefit of that is complete confidence that there is no way the legs will slip or release, so it hasn't bothered me, and the ball head on the mount means you can still get it level even if the whole assembly is tilted a bit.I can easily recommend this tripod for anyone looking for a low profile option that is still very sturdy.
