We got this monitor to replace our infant optics which was already on its last life and showing a terrible picture. Overall I'm very happy with the replacement purchase. The quality of this video is unmatched. We can see so clearly! The main two downsides: 1. Low sound. Compared to the infant optics this is so quiet at the highest volume, but I think it just takes time getting used to. We have a sound machine in my daughter's room and the old monitor picked up the white noise, this one doesn't. At first I hated that but I'm kind of used to it now. I can hear her when she's crying but if she's just talking it's hard to hear. 2 - battery life sucks! If you don't mind having a charger around then this is a non issue, but I was expecting longer than 4 hours at least. The only other comments I'll mention... You can't move the camera. Infant optics you can move it with the monitor but this stays in one place once it's mounted. I don't mind this though because the angle is so good that it covers a large portion of what you need. We have it above the crib and it captures the entirety of it! The last thing is the button to turn on the monitor... Most have it at the top but this is on the side and a bit hard to find at times (esp half asleep at night). Overall, these are all minor things that just take getting used to. I'm so happy we got this. We're even tempted to replace my son's one as well (he has hello baby). This monitor never once cut out for us... It doesn't interfere with other monitors. The infant optics constantly did! I would definitely recommend for picture quality. Overall I think it's great value!

The media could not be loaded. We have been using the owlet camera since she was born and have had a handful of issues with it freezing. Finally had enough & purchased this. Has been AMAZING! We can actually see her, get notifications when she moves or makes noises (if you turn that effect on) and can carry the screen around the house with us.Only downfall is that the battery life of the screen isn’t the best, but we mainly only use it for bedtime so it stays plugged in on our nightstand.We haven’t used our owlet in days & most likely will be giving it away now that we have this!

Great product, clear video and good sound. The built in nightlight is a huge plus as my children don’t like when the room is completely dark. Another great feature is the ability to play lullabies and baby music from the camera base. The range is very decent to keep a clear connection and I love the fact that the connection is NOT over Wi-Fi as it is much more secure just connecting to your personal monitor.I can’t really talk about battery life as it is usually plugged in, but the few times it wasn’t the battery seemed decent enough.I hardly use the 2 way connection as it confuses my baby but my toddler found it fascinating, so that feature may or may not benefit you. My one complaint is that the camera only pans in zoom, so you really can’t see all parts of the room by moving the camera from the monitor. With that being said I still highly recommend this baby monitor as a quality item with many useful features

While we had other VTech products, our baby monitor was not one of them. After our baby monitor broke I replaced it with this monitor and we were so pleasantly surprised that I have since recommended these VTech monitors to my friends and family. We have purchased two of these monitors and can honestly say that this is a great monitor for the price.The display quality is excellent and it comes packed with features. The night vision is also much better than our previous monitor and the zoom generates minimal distortion.----------------Pros:> security-conscious design> 720p display> Two-way talk> Night vision> Night light> Zoom function> Room temperature sensor> Sound and motion alertsCons:> Lullaby sound levels are mediocre> Battery life> The stand is not very sturdy

Previously had a motorola brand baby camera whose battery died. Bought this VTech hoping it would be better. I'd like to be able to unplug the monitor and take it into the backyard with me while baby is napping but so far the battery does not last very long (< 1 hour)While the monitor has a nice big screen, the picture quality is pretty average to poor. For me, my baby is still a newborn and I want to be able to zoom in to see if the pacifier is in her mouth or if her eyes are closed but the picture is really bad quality when you zoom in. Then again, this camera and monitor is less than $100 so maybe I'm expecting too much. Had I known I would've paid a little extra money to get something with a better picture and battery life.Pro is the camera itself is really lightweight. I have it attached to the wall using the 3M Velcro picture hanging strips - because I want to be able to take it down easily - and it's sturdy up on the wall with no issues of falling down

I really wanted to love this monitor. The screen was large and clear. But, the biggest issue was the sound quality was terrible. You could not hear anything. We even got a replacement to make sure the first one was not defective. The second issue was the battery life was very short. We couldn’t have it off the charger for more than 2 hours at most. We’ve owned other monitors that lasted much longer. Lastly it lacked the feature to be able to pan and move the camera from the monitor. For a similar price point we got another Hello Baby monitor which now has a larger screen. The picture quality is not as great but you can hear and use it off the charger.

Love the wide angle, daytime clarity, helpful function features . Night vision a bit grainy but is really fine .Not too many cameras have wide angle for some reason . Happy with this camera

Cannot recommend, camera itself started getting super hot to the touch within an hour of turning on. Video quality very poor, short monitor battery life. Surprisingly bad product from vtech
