Item arrived with a jingle sound, one of the screws popped off but it was easily put back together. Perfect for calming special needs kiddo. There’s the color attached above, a white/ grey color that is very subtle, then a blue changes to green color, which is good to have options. It does make a “clicking “ sound with the Motion moving, but nothing that is enough to return it. I’d recommend this product.

My son has not been diagnosed with autism yet but this definitely helps to calm him down especially at bedtime. He is also afraid of the dark and this helps him not scream throughout the night. I would say a down wins after the first night it started making noises wwhichdoesnt seem to bother anyone but me. but overall we love this light and it does work great.

I bought this on sale, and it's honestly still way more expensive than other lamps that seem to do more. It baffles me that this originally is $50, and even at $40 is too expensive when others that do a lot more colors, have a remote control, and can be angled are $25-$30. Compared to those, this is very bare bones and basic. What bothered me most was that it would make a high-pitched squeaking sound like a cricket, until I sprayed inside with oil. I was also hoping it would be able to turn the angle so that it can project to the middle of my ceiling, while it's on the table at the side/foot of my bed... since obviously you wouldn't want this to be right on your bed, but it projects straight up, and doesn't have that much range. The white light color is super faint too, so you pretty much have to choose between either blue or green... and I wanted to like the multi-color mood changing mode, but it has an abrupt ending where it fades out, but instantly blinks back on, and repeats like that. Not very soothing, and distracting even. So again, that makes it basically just either deep blue or green as the options for relaxing, and they are very neon colors.

I received the item and the cover for the batteries was missing and it would rattle when moved or picked up. I reached out to the company and the sent a full replacement immediately! My son is going to love it! His birthday is this month so I can’t wait! Thank you so much!

It’s loud and squeaky and looks stupid

This is not a high quality item and I thought it had built-in music/white noise features, which is not the case. The issues with plugging your phone into the machine are; you have to leave your phone in the room for the duration of how long you want it to play, which is not ideal for light sleepers, and your volume obviously needs to be on for the music to play which allows phone notifications to come through...again, not ideal for light sleepers, which is what I'm dealing with. The light itself needs to be a bit higher than your child, as the light on top that illuminates the ceiling is bright. I placed something over the top strategically to light some of the light through but that does hinder the overall effect. That said, my child has a tough time going to sleep (he has "FOMO" --Fear Of Missing Out--LOL) and this really seems to do the trick! So...I'm on the fence as to whether or not I will keep this or replace for a better quality version.

The mechanism that should make the appearance of movement doesn’t work. Even if it did, I don’t think it would be too impressive. It’s just a dim light that shines upward. Not worth $20

What does for a handicapped child? She really enjoys it watching things on the ceilings.
