Not Very Flexible

The hose is not nearly as flexible as it should be for this application. I intended to use this hose to connect a torch to a bottle. Bottle is in a wide base holder to prevent tipping easily. Despite that, the hose is so rigid that there's no way to avoid tipping over the bottle while trying to use the torch. I've had to resort to putting the bottle in a bucket on the floor below where I'm using the torch. Even doing that, the rigidity of the hose still makes it difficult to manipulate the torch. Pretty disappointed. The fittings are great - look to be high quality and fit perfectly at both ends. For an application where whatever is connected at each end is rigid or stable, this hose should be excellent. If any kind of manipulation is needed, consider something else.

Good product &value ... but, is it exactly what I expected? Pls see my comments.

This extension was just right. Unfortunately it took me 1+ hours of research time before I decided to order it. I still had reservations when I pushed BUY.My Seller review is my opinion. Did the Seller "provide a quality product?" My opinion is "Yes".Next, did the Seller's product "1) meet the Buyer's need and 2) is it competively priced?" My opinions are " 1) Maybe and 2) Yes."I said "Maybe" because the Seller did not provide Buyers/Seekers enough discriptive product information to allow me to make a good, informed purchasing decision.(IMHO, by providing better information, the Seller would increase sales of this quality item.)Currently, for Buyers/Seekers who may not be technically conversant about this product area, the "Buy" decision is challenging:1) Confusion: Technical descriptions of threaded end connection are insufficient.2) Clarity: Verbal and Visual support is insufficient. The technical writeup and specifications only provided very "general, top level" information. Not answering the "Am I sure this is the right product/solution?"In hindsight, it would have been faster to drive to my local hardware/Box store where I could "touch, examine and perform a go/no-go trial-fitup."

Nice hose, good fittings.

I connect this to the propane tank of my camper van. I put a fitting on my tank before the regulator so I could use the hose. 12' is fine for camping. It affords me some distance away from the van when cooking on the grill. I use it at home to connect my 5 gallon tank to the home grill. 12' is more than I need for that, but it serves two purposes this way. Yes, there is some propane odor vacating the hose when you disconnect it, but wait a moment and it will clear. I screw the two ends together which seals it up. It's a well made hose that I've had for about a year. I'm happy I have it.

What you need to know.

It's long and it hold a lot of propane. Unfortunately it leaks that held propane if you disconnect it from the bottle. It leaked at a rate that initially threw a 12 inch flame when ignited. I've had several other propane hoses and not one of them has leaked even a little bit. If you decide to purchase one of these be sure to always turn the gas source off and let the BBQ, lantern, or whatever burn the gas in the hose before disconnecting. Or do not put the hose anywhere near a (potential) flame until it stops leaking. Screwing the M/F ends together might work too but I did not try it.

Male End of Hose Doesn't Independently Revolve

The male fitting doesn't revolve independently from the hose itself. This means that the entire 12 ft. length of hose must be turned round 'n round in order to attach it to your propane tank fitting. There are other brands of 12 ft. propane hoses where the male fitting rotates until fully attached to the female fitting. I found the process so annoying that I returned the hose for a refund.

It's blowing out oil, clogging my torch. RISKY!

I'm seeing droplets of oil drip out. I'm using the same can of propane, same torch and never saw this happen before I used this hose. Research indicates the propane may be breaking down the hose. Surprising because I just got it. I can't risk this hose eventually leaking when unattended though. If it's not breaking down, it came filled with oil. Either way, it's a problem, and a poor product. I'll pay extra for something reliable when working with volatile compressed gas.

Did not work

Like many cheap Chinese made products, the male end of the gas connector was too short. This resulted in the hose unable to flow more than a small amount of gas. I compared this to a working hose and the male end is clearly shorter.

Fittings too tight to rotate

The fittings were installed in manner that made it impossible to rotate. Therefore you could not use the hose. Didn't get a chance to use the hose till after return window closed. I'd avoid this product and vendor.
