I really love this sourdough starter kit! This set helps me create amazing sourdough loaves! The quality is excellent, the basket is sturdy, and all of the accessories feel well-made. I bake sourdough multiple times a week, and this kit has made the whole process smoother and more consistent. ✔ What I love: The banneton helps my dough keep a nice round shape. The liner fits perfectly and helps prevent sticking. The scraper and scoring lame work great and feel durable. Everything is easy to clean and store. ✔ For new sourdough bakers: These tools are not 100% required to make sourdough, but they are very helpful to have. They make shaping easier, improve consistency, and help produce a nicer-looking loaf with less hassle. ✔ Who this is great for: Beginners looking to level up their sourdough setup or experienced bakers who want reliable tools that make the process easier. ✔ Would I buy again? Yes! I use these multiple times a week and they’ve become a staple in my baking routine.

I originally awarded this set 2 stars because, much to my surprise, there is no sourdough starter in the Sourdough Starter Kit. Very annoyed. However after using this set for 2 months, making about 8 loafs, I am glad I bought the Set. The tools are very useful and the recipe for sourdough is a great place to start. Everything is well made and all are utilitarian. The Dutch dough mixer helps enormously, the lame (for scoring the bread before baking) is easy to use and I like the extra razor blades. I use the Teflon transfer sling for moving the proofed dough to my Dutch oven and for baking the bread, preventing burning on the bottom and easy removal after baking. The Banneton keeps the proofing dough shaped and safe during the rest in the refrigerator overnight. Separately the items would add up to significantly more than the set. Get this if you want a head-start on you baking career. Half a Star off for no starter culture. I bought mine on Amazon. Baking sourdough is Zen and this set is worth every penny.

My bread-making set is fantastic. I love the bamboo material used for the basket; the protective liner is washable, and the overall look is natural and fresh. Everything is made from high-quality materials—from the bamboo basket and plastic scrapers to the stainless steel dough cutter, which even features measurement markings. They are easy to clean and don't take up much space in the kitchen. It’s an excellent kit for a beginner like me; after using it on several occasions, I can recommend it 100%.

This is a nice basic set for making sourdough. I was previously using a spoon to mix my dough, the dough whisk is a huge improvement over a spoon! I was proofing in a medium sized bowl but it didn't have the traditional shape I wanted to see in my finished bread. This banneton is a good size and shape for my needs and I'm sure my wife will be glad that I'm no longer using her dish towels as bowl liners. The dough scraper is also a great tool and has improved my ability to tension my dough. None of this stuff is required to make good bread but it sure makes the process more enjoyable and improves the end result. It wasn't terribly expensive for all of the tools it includes and is certainly a huge value over purchasing a lame, whisk, brush, banneton, and liner all separately.
