UPDATE:After using this for a few months we noticed the outdoor indicator was running through the batteries pretty quick, or so we thought. I investigated and found that when the weather became very cold overnight the outside unit would switch channels for some reason causing the inside unit not to display the temp. Be sure to re-sync the unit trying a different channel before replacing batteries as it just may be a channel loss. Save yourself some money and frustrations.That being said I still love this unit.Pros:Easy to set upLarge readable displaysWorks in all weatherHas a back light button for a quicknight reading (stays on only a few seconds)Cons:Humidity reading almostas big as temp readingWish it came in blackIf you're just looking for a good indoor outdoor temp display for your home this is a great investment. I'm a senior and set up was very easy has been working for over 6 months without any lag in several different types of weather. Outdoor sensor can be placed on the house or hung further away from more accurate reading. Worth the investment.

came inside a bigbox with no packing so both magnets were off and loose in the box but otherwise works well ,,i cant seem to find where to buy the extra sensors for it ?

Addendum to initial positive review: The original batteries in the remote unit failed after about one month which, although surprising, wasn't a big deal. However two subsequent battery replacements at about two week intervals proved that the remote unit was defective. In each case the batteries were tested on removal and installation. The symptom of battery failure was absence of readings on the display unit. Thinking that the battery failure might be due to rain getting into the remote, on the last battery replacement, I installed the remote outside, but underneath the deck, where it couldn't get wet. No improvement.I emailed the company, telling them what had transpired and asked for a replacement remote. They replied saying it "must have something to do with the environment that the remote is installed in". I replied asking if the remote was not supposed to be used outside and again asking for a replacement. No reply! So without a working remote (suspect a design or manufacturing flaw), the nice little display unit is also useless, because I already know what the inside temp and humidity are.So can't recommend buying this device.
