I've had my Cosori Electric Kettle for almost 1 year now (purchased Nov. 2023) and have been very happy with my purchase, not only is it a sleek & modern addition to my countertop, it's quite the reliable appliance to give consistent results, heating up ever so quickly - I'm always amazed at how speedily it comes to a rapid boil, then ever so faithfully automatically shuts off. I also adore the fact that this Kettle retains heat so well, so no need to re-heat for a second cup of coffee. One advice to you, who may re-heat leftover brewed herbal teas, is to keep an eye on the Kettle as some herbal brews can foam up in a closed Kettle, you wanna be close by to do a quick shut-off to prevent an overflow (yes, even a one cup amount can foam up & overflow - good thing I was standing right next to it). Overall, I recommend you purchase this Kettle, so much that it's a guarantee that when this Kettle no longer functions, that I will certainly buy another one as it is good value for money. There is no after taste and the size is impressive - we've never had to fill it all the way, even when making coffee for four guests. Don't hesitate, buy it!

It is nearly impossible to find an electric tea kettle that truly has no plastic parts which come into contact with the water.This is a very rare example of an electric kettle that is 100% smooth stainless steel on the inside, without any plastic components inside. Even the built-in spout filter (an unnecessary component) is 100% steel, and does not have a plastic mount. Even the underside of the lid is smooth steel. The only plastic on this kettle is the parts that appear black on the exterior (such as the handle, and top rim, and bottom, and the illuminated clear plastic on/off switch on the bottom exterior).This is also a rare example of a kettle that is double-wall construction (like a "Thermos") so the exterior does not get hot when the water is boiling. Excellent design. Look no further.

I bought this to replace an old GE kettle that had a similar base plate. The metal contacts on the bottom of the old one became corroded to the point that it wouldn’t power on any more. This has a similar design for the base and contacts, however the new kettle has a concave bottom. The concave bottom of the kettle, compared with the relatively flat bottom of the old one, leads me to think that the contacts won’t be as prone to getting wet if placed on a wet counter. This would be a design improvement, but it will take years to determine that for sure. I definitely have more confidence in the design on this one.I like that the top of the kettle is big enough that I can wash and dry off the inside with a towel when needed. By contrast, my old kettle had a very narrow opening so I’d need to get creative when cleaning it. For reference, I typically wear large gloves and there’s enough room for someone with bigger hands than mine to wipe down the inside.The fill marks are embossed on the inside of the kettle which makes it very easy to see while filling. I really like this design compared to my old kettle, which had a clear fill gauge located on the handle, which was useless.The shape is dead simple, basically a pitcher, no weird bulges or creases, so it’s easy to see whether or not it’s clean. The only spot I’d be concerned with cleaning is the spout, which, because it is welded on, has a crevice along the weld and the side of the pitcher. The spout is big enough to clean by hand though, so it’s a minor concern.Overall it feels sturdy, the walls are thick, it holds temperature well, the safety switch is loud enough to hear clicking, it looks nice, and I’m happy with it. I’d definitely recommend it.Purchased April '24, Edit, January '25, This thing is awesome. I am a klutz, and when I whacked this thing against a cabinet (by accident, because I'm a klutz) it showed no damage. The cabinet didn't either, so that's a plus.

Dec 3’19 UPDATE: After no luck reaching out for help with troubleshooting.. I gave up and bought another kettle. But as soon as I did this one started working again. No clue, glitch? I did see the lid separate from the lip of the lid, so when the kettle was boiling it didn’t read the temperature right and boils longer than it’s initial boil time and the steam was stronger and coming out of the gap. It got too hot and popped off? I dont know really. Not brand new, got a used one? There was a chip in the top lid where the lid was so maybe it eventually steamed apart. Maybe it was dropped when packaged?If the reviews are for design and functionality, I’d say this is a good enough kettle. But for lack of customer service, I deducted a star ⭐️.Oct 16’19 UPDATE: the Cosori just stopped working. It worked fine 2 days ago. That’s only 4 months! Of course the window for a return in out.June 2019 - This is my 2nd attempt to owning an electric kettle.1st order was the Amazon brand which I opened and used as soon as I received it and it failed (leaked) in the spout and handle area. So I immediately researched again, read more of its user reviews.. then went back to my list of 3-4 potentials and chose this newer Cosori. For a person who drinks and makes hot tea daily it’s top priority to have clean boiling water. Would I use a simple glass whistle kettle like I had at first again? Only if I can stop accidentally breaking glass, borosilicate glass or not. I took a photo for comparison in height and design between the Amazon one and this Cosori before I returned the other.This Cosori kettle is a nice kettle. Good light weight for its size. I like the color combo, mostly black and sleek. It boiled right at 6 minutes and then turned off immediately. I was hoping the base could act as a warmer (keep warm) base for the kettle but that probably would require more work in the engineering (R&D) department because the kettle automatically turns off when the kettle has reached the correct boiling point. So I dont know how they could have both functions. Maybe some other brand has it and I missed it. To me what’s important is that it works great! It does what it’s suppose to do and that’s to boil water.Clean up is easy. First 1-2 uses you may find water spots after the water is poured out but from what I read it’s from what’s inside the water we use that gets left behind, like minerals. To rid of it I used 1 part vinegar to two parts water and let it sit for a few hours (because I forget about it) and just normal recommended cleaning. 1:2 part ratio is like 1 cup vinegar and 2 cups of water. I use a bottle brush or a used fabric softener (doesn’t scratch and scrubs very well) and Dawn.I have filled the water tank past recommended up to the two holes line in the spout to test if the boiling water leaks or spits/shoots out boiling water if you pour over the tank’s recommended capacity. Result?! Still good!!!!! Although I can only speak from my testing on my kettle.
