This product is quite effective in cleaning a carpet. Spray on a pre-treatment mist, brush in the damp, dusty product, let it dry and vacuum. Done, ready to use. It does make a sort of sawdust-looking mess, but that is the essential function of how it cleans - and that residue vacuums up nicely. This is especially good for carpets that are too unwieldy to take outside for a wetter process. I use a floor machine with a soft brush to force the product deep into the carpet/rug - but that may not be suitable for a fragile/delicate rug. It would be good to use the whole batch sooner than later because it is likely going to dry out over a fairly short time and become ineffective.

Our dog had a loose poop accident on our carpet and it left a bad stain. We used several cleaners that didn't work. We then had the carpet professionally cleaned... twice and the stain kept coming back even worse because the water from the carpet cleaner soaked the stain though the carpet to the carpet pad. When the water evaporated the carpet wicked the stain back up into the carpet. So, I used Capture Carpet Powder and Spray as directed and it worked amazing well! No more stain!

My steam cleaner was unable to get some old stains out. Wear stains that are expected after 20 years.Then the cleaner broke and so I wanted a dry option since new floors are currently being saved for in the near future. None of them carpet! No carpet cleaner will be needed then and I won’t pay the crazy pro prices for a job I did for under$5 in a day 4x/year over the past 11 years using water, vinegar, oxiclean and essential oils. Not $750 for my house!! PER CLEAN. Whaatt??!?I am quite impressed at the ability to remove newer dirt (under 6 months) with about the same outcome as wet cleaning. I am able to get a heavy duty stain out on rare occasions of pet accidents using straight white vinegar and and old towel.My carpets are shades of white and a light gray room. I treated high traffic areas.I do not like the smell. I smells like waterpark hotel carpeted halls or a fresh porta-potty.I love the ease to clean sand the non-toxic powder.Overall: yes to clean carpets easily. Rugs for certain.No: to carpet in general as a preference with pets, allergies and not interested in replacing regularly. I just prefer hard floors with rugs.Note: this dry option is indeed higher priced per clean than the practically free option I preferred but the new steam cleaner is hundreds so it’s no longer the best option for me with no carpet coming soon. The powder is in fact WAY easier and more enjoyable than steam cleaning tho, money aside. I’d have both options available if I were planning to recarpet.

My carpet is a very light color and was getting stained. This is an amazing product. It made my carpet look brand new. It was really easy and quick to do. I did let it sit all night and vacuumed it up in the morning.I love the fact that my carpet wasn't wet like a shampooer would do. It smells so much better not getting it wet. It also doesn't pick up dirt like when you shampoo it. I love having beautiful carpets and this product does a perfect job. The picture shows half of the room done and the other half not done. I had to order another 8 lb tub.

I love it as I have an old carpet and it cleans well.

The reasons for my giving this product a 3 star rating.Pro's1) It does a very nice job in cleaning your carpet that is fact.2) It does leave a subtle scent after applying and vacuuming per the directions.3) when using the liquid Spot remover the combination does indeed lift out ground in dirt and spotsCon's1) It leaves a fine dust in the carpet, even after vacuuming the product per the directionsI know this for a fact due to the fact I used my Bissell Pro Heat Steam Cleaner directly after vacuuming theproduct up, and when powering up my Bissell I immediately saw dust flying up off the carpet that had beentreated with the product. Thus if you have allergies or sinus issues I would hesitate to use this product.2) After vacuuming the product up my vacuum motor was effected by the fine dust particles and was much louder.I took the vacuum apart and cleaned it the best I could to save the vacuum. Hence prepare to repair or replaceyour vacuum after use of this product. I used a bagless Bissell Power Force Vacuum about 4 years old with verylimited use.3) When using my Bissell Pro Heat Steamer the product left a pasty residue in the Extraction side of my tank.Thus the Bissell Power Heat did in fact clean up the majority of the dust left behind embedded in the carpet.Overall the product does what it is advertised to do, however the product definitely has some down sides to it.I would not use this product based on the Con's listed above.If you do not have allergies or sinus problems, and don't mind spending some time cleaning your vacuum after using the product I would recommend the product. It does certainly clean your carpet.However I also know Steam or a Wet style Carpet cleaner does the same job with the only drawback being drying time.

WOWI never expected this to work very well, but I was Wrong! The rug had a musty smell and had been stored. It looks like a brand new rug and has no smell at all. It is GREAT.

This product was awesome. My daughter had spilled Dr Pepper on my brand new carpet. The typical liquid cleaner did not get it out nor did my Hoover carpet cleaner put this on the stain for an hour and then swept it up. No sign of the stain at all highly recommend
