Usable, but not the greatest. Plastic fingers are wobbly.
The unit frame is made well, the problem is the inserts of fingers that actually make the shape. They are made very poorly. The inserts are not very accurately made and they stick to the frame when extending to full size. Also the locking mechanism does not lock everything in place tight. If your are looking cheap way of measuring something once in a while, then this will work. If your are looking to use it professionally then get something else.

good for small jobs
Overall this is a good tool, but I underestimated the length and depth I would need and it was not clear what depth I can measure with it.

Pins are tight
Purchased as a gift. Good for price but pins are tight. Maybe loosen up with use but with them being tight, they make it hard to be accurate without fussing with them.
