Q: It's been 3 days since i aplied the oil and the wood is still very sticky. what can i do to fix it. and how to avoid it in the future?

Hello, pure tung oil has not dried for 3 days, there may be the following reasons: 1. The days when you brushed tung oil were cold and humid; 2. The tung oil coating on the wood is too thick; 3. When brushing tung oil for the second time, the previous coating don‘t dry completely; 4. No rubbing off of unabsorbed tung oil. To solve this problem, we give the following suggestions: 1. Wipe off the excess unabsorbed tung oil with a dust-free cloth. If it cannot be wiped off, you can use gasoline or kerosene to remove the tung oil, use 75% medical alcohol to remove traces, scrub with fragrance, and rinse with water until No odors, making your woodwork as original as possible; 2. Dilute pure tung oil with turpentine or citrus solvent; 3. Brush a thin layer of tung oil when it is sunny and dry, wait for tung oil to be completely absorbed and dry. Then repeat the previous operation two or three times; 4. Wipe off the unabsorbed tung oil on the surface of the wood product.

Q: Is this tung oil good? Where else can I use it other than for wood floors?

Tung oil is a excellent wood protectant. You can pretty much use it for anything wooden. There are food safe versions of tung oil as well but I'm not certain this brand is. Unlike varnish type finishes that seal the wood surface, tung oil penetrates the wood. I use it on axe handles and walking sticks.

Q: Can this product be used on a wooden privacy fence?

Yes, as long as the wood has not been treated or painted.
