We live in an area that has an enormous tent city/homeless population that every crosswalk and light corner will have a "say no to panhandlers". The regular population is fine usually. But as my friends and I collectively call it the "twin peaks" or the "nightvale" of my state. So I didn't want to pay a hundred dollars for a bike lock that would protect my e-bike in a place where bikes are the number one stolen thing. Like all day every day, bikes stolen and ditched all over the area. So I really just didn't want a lock that was gonna be easy to cut through or drill out. The online review by "lock picking lawyer" suggested a style of chain that would be safe in city and suburban areas with high risk of bike theft. His recommended brand was just out of my budget. So I tried this one that a friend suggested that's more affordable and still the same function and longevity as well as dependability without the high cost. Much more affordable, fits my little ebike and locks and unlocks easily with the (3 sets) of key. Which is convenient because I'm often forgetting my keys and need a back up. Pretty damn good for twenty something bucks!

This is heavy duty. The 3ft version is a little short but solid built. It would not be easy to get passed this lock.

It looks exactly as advertised, and comes with two keys. the key hole has an environmental slide so you don't get rain in the lock, and the chain is nicely covered in a bike-paint protecting layer of... well, something. It's a thick chain - this is not the kind of bike chain you can cut with industrial shears. Well, maybe you could - but anyone trying to steal your bike with industrial shears probably needs it more than you. Look - This is the best bike lock and chain set I've ever bought, and I've gone through my share of bikes. I bought two, one for each kid, and it made them feel secure. If your bike gets stolen with this lock in place, you either didn't lock it properly (remember, always through the FRAME, not just the front tire), someone cut the thing you locked the bike to, or someone owns the aforementioned industrial shears. TLDR: Great price, Great lock, Would buy again, but I don't see this one needing replacement any time soon.

the best part is i bought 2 3 ft chains. the way it links shut, you can daisy chain the 2 together without issue. also impossible to pick or use an angle grinder on. you also need the biggest pair of bolt cutters and huge arms to cut through these. highly recommend. i use in tandem with an audio alarm and i have yet to have a problem with my ebike being parked. highly recommend.

Dieses Schloss schreckt Diebe schon beim Anblick ab . Leider viel zu schwer um es im Rucksack zu verstauen. Satteltaschen sind da sinnvoll. Um es am Fahrrad mitzuführen fehlen Bauart bedingt meist die Möglichkeiten oder sind schon von Anbauteilen belegt .
